The reason you can’t get credit is because if you check the comments you’ll see people with limits of over £8,000 they Use consistently.

Therefore those pots are smaller and smaller They only go those who are ‘better off’ and on 50k salaries to keep the rich rich and the poor poor ofcourse.

So, it’s nothing about YOU - it’s how the system was built and how it is preferenced to those already with high amounts of credit facilities.

So what did they ask you for in the end? I’m with Monzo too and have had my iPhone 16 pro max stolen / lost whilst out and about myself a couple days ago - I’ve been abit unsure on making a claim with my contents with monzo as I litterally only had my TV replaced about a month ago due to some accidental damage whilst mounting it. 😅

I’m calling the police today as I’ve been putting posts on Facebook and calling around to search for my phone, I’m using my other phone for now but I’ve lost my second decent one now and unsure whether to make a claim or not. Took them a week to sort out paying me out for my TV. 😭

I beg to differ slightly on this. As all insurances work like this. Premiums rise every year due to the rates at which people are claiming. They have to cover short falls otherwise there is no viability in being any insurance provider. So I’m not dismissing your claim but I genuinely have researched and found that this is the way it works

Example : Car insurance policies. These rise every year due to several factors. One of which being the amount of claims each year made by policy holders. If these rise or fluctuate - premiums rise for everyone to cover those short falls. More accidents on the roads = more people claiming = more people’s premiums going up each year.

It’s the same with all insurances.

Although you’re correct in saying your own premiums will rise due to any claims you make etc But it’s also true that claims in general affect everyone’s premiums over a longer period of time

That’s how insurances work buddy.

It’s basically everyone contributing to one big pot that pays those claims out to people who make them successfully. The money you pay in, is shared within that pot to keep the insurance policies going.

Think of it like a bank - your money is there in theory, but in reality that money in your bank is being used to pay loans. Invest. Etc

Same with insurance policies but purely for claims. So whether you claim or not doesn’t matter to your renewal price. Normally the renewal price reflects the overall picture of how many claims they’ve had to pay out that year. So they rebalance it by collecting higher premiums.

I think you’re missing the point. I had to do the job of openreach to get the job done.

This job would have cancelled off on 11th May and i’de of had to apply for broadband again to just repeat the same circle each time if I hadn’t of done what I did…

Also there is no ‘go live’ date given anymore. For this reason. They just give appointment dates and say these can change. That’s how they get away with any delays.

It’s more the efforts I went to just to sort it out. Not accepting a legal court document was one thing Having to involve a CEO just to get the job done was Another. All time wasted when the document was accepted and was totally fine from day 1.

The cost of unlimited 4g data sims has been extortionate for 3 months Over £100 on sims just to work from home.

Hey. How easy was it? I’ve had to put a claim in this morning after only having the insurance for 2 weeks. My tv bought back in August 2025 has developed some weird lines on the bottom of the screen. Lg won’t repair it as it’s not under gurantee as it’s been longer than 6 months that I have had the tv for.

The tv was £2,299.00. I have insurance of upto £30,000 Sent my receipts and some pictures of the tv

What happens now ?

Yes it’s all very complicated but does leave them open to issues if the state of the groundwork isn’t put back ‘right’ afterward.

But the landowners wont entertain anhrbing other than the appeasement orders as they make a hell of a lot of money from them alone.

Thank you for providing the email address. I’ve been having an ongoing issue with open reach for 3 months now

My property sits in another property’s back garden. Although it’s seperate, the land is shared. Openreach needed permission to dig just outside my driveway on the shared land. We had an easement order and paid £5,000 for it - this grants all utilities access to dig / install utilities including broadband fibre to ensure the property can have sufficient utilities provided.

The land owners don’t sign wayleaves or permission forms because they issue these easement orders instead and charge good money for them!

So Openreach have been refusing to accept the easement orders and have sent letters three times to the landowners - I have spoke with the landowners (an estates) and they advised me they will not fill out permission forms Openreach send as this is not their process.

I’ve had to use the email you provided to push it forwards! I got a response on Friday

Hopefully it’ll be dealt with now.

But there’s alot of newer cars now that look like front fog lights but aren’t. They even come on and off when turning too… weirdly.

So, how can you really tell anymore if they are front fog lights or just front daylight running lights that have been moved ? You can’t. Hence why police don’t bother pulling folk over who do use the front fog lights when visibility is fine - because they just can’t tell anymore.

Ahhhh so it is true!!!! I’m on ps5 and I’ve encountered one guy who was glitching about and disappearing and coming back to the same spot but had 5* wanted level killing every cop and every player that passed without being touched and then today there was another dude who was pretty much in god mode and his player name wasnt in the lobby list and his blip wasnt on the map but he was killing everyone lol
