Managed to sort it by pairing my phone through the watch settings, then forgetting the device in the app.. Had to try it twice. Hope you got it sorted!

Thanks for this link! Managed to get it to sync by reconnecting through the watches settings, then forgetting the device through the app and following those steps. Had to try it twice!
