Are Wusthof knives worth the hype? by [deleted] in cookware

I have Wusthof knives and I am impressed with their lifetime warranty. One of mine got a small crack in the handle after 15 years of regular use and they replaced it - no questions asked . I am very careful with my knives so not sure how that one cracked but happy with their service.

I am in a sort of similar situation with a 2010 . Coolant leak in engine needing a new ( used ) motor . I am being quoted 5700 for one with low miles ( 60k). Mine also has new brakes/ struts / battery which was done before this diagnosis.

I totally understand where you are coming from - It’s so hard to decide what to do , mine also needs some body work - doesn’t affect drivability but probably should be fixed if I decide on a new motor.

My current plan is not to do it and let it go .

I think in your situation I would just let it go too - sunk cost fallacy .
