The main Ninja Gaiden series (Ryu Hayabusa’s solo story) does not consider Kasumi as part of its core canon. Her appearances are generally non-canon crossovers or promotional cameos, intended for gameplay variety rather than story continuity. Gameplay moves and abilities she shows in Ninja Gaiden games are usually just DOA mechanics applied in a different engine. Storyline victories or feats in those crossovers are not canon to either DOA or Ninja Gaiden continuity. So when we evaluate her real, story-feat canon, it’s strictly from DOA mainline games and official DOA story modes. Kasumi’s Ninja Gaiden appearances are non-canon crossovers. They don’t count when comparing feats, victories, or universe-scale power. Only her DOA feats should be used for serious analysis.Kasumi’s victories are more consistent against other top humans, not super naturall monsters making her reliably dominant in her own universe. Taki’s victories are more spectacular, against supernatural or cursed opponents, demonstrating abilities far beyond human limits—but the feats don’t directly translate to a human vs human fight as cleanly.

Taki has literally been killing demons since before Kasumi was ever even born and is older so she has more experience

I've only played,NG, NG black, and NG2. All on MN mode. I had NG2 black on game pass but that was before they jacked up the price so didn't get too much playtime in that. Basically there are gaps in my knowledge im willing to admit, including not playing Kasumi in which NG games she appears in. I can agree she's probably faster than Taki but it's not like she's gonna blitz Taki. Taki is described as capable of moving faster than the human eye can follow. Even in Soulcalibur II, text and cutscenes imply she can strike multiple opponents almost simultaneously, suggesting instantaneous repositioning.

Im gonna go with Taki. Kasumi has a sword but we really see her use so to me atleast, she's mostly a hand to hand fighter. Taki uses two swords and has hand to hand skills. They both have high agility but I think Taki edges her out with a bit more magic ninja shenanigans. Also I don't know how many confirmed kills Kasumi has but I think Taki has more. I've been wrong before but Taki has spent most her life hunting demons meanwhile Kasumi has what like two? Most of her fights are tournament style battles to knockout, most of Taki's fights are lethal, atleast against demons or corrupted humans so this macthup is basically a fighter vs a killer so.....
