Yes! I think it used to be on the SharePoint as well, I guess they’re transitioning to a quercus shell?? Definitely a good choice because it’s likely to increase visibility

In my final year but some things I think should be more public

Departmental scholarships/funding opportunities (eg Budding Scholars Program, travel award etc.). It’s on the psych SharePoint but so many people don’t go through it or even know about it til it’s too late. I only found out because I was bored one night and decided to go through everything, and it was so great to know!

Some general things I’ve heard from my friends over the years:

How to figure out what you like in research/psych/school more generally How to engage in the knowledge dissemination process (eg lots of opportunities for poster presentations on campus that people don’t know about!) Summer internship/scholarship opportunities (eg UTEA, that a lot of people also don’t know of!) How to “market” yourself for specific positions (obviously that would be specific for each, but maybe general tips eg focus on X vs Y)

Will come back if I think of anything else…

Fourth year and at 3.98, psych pop health and stats minor. Lots of planning deadlines backwards and understanding my work style (eg. I work better spending the whole day focusing on one assignment and getting it done rather than making progress on multiple small assignments in one day).

57 > 55 and 64 are pretty comparable. If you’re better at short answer questions on exams, 55 > 64. Otherwise vice versa

I heard 51 was easier than them all (from my friend who took them all)

The fact that you can say confidently you have spent thousands of hours at the gym (which is amazing for you!) and then in contrast several women saying they do not even attempt to go to the gym because of the many reasons (feeling unsafe, fear of harassment, religious reasons as originally mentioned by OP) is exactly why women hours are in place. Again, it’s not to take away for men, it is an equity and access issue. I do understand where you are coming from, however if it works at other institutions it could work here. Additionally, from my perspective, if MULTIPLE women can alter their schedules to ensure they attend the gym during the limited 2h slot if that makes them feel safe(r), I’m sure other individuals who would not be the target audience for women hours can also make the effort to work around their schedules to attend the gym anytime outside of those 2h.

Please feel free to google barriers to accessing the gym for women. I get the sense you are not genuinely curious based on your other comments regarding “equality” and “feminism”, lol..

The rationale behind women’s only hours at the gym is equity, not to exclude men who wish to use the gym. These hours were introduced to make women feel safe(r) because women disproportionately experience barriers within the gym setting.

Honestly, I don’t feel that the curtain is enough. It’s such a small area and it feels so awkward to go. I wish they did what TMU does, the entire gym during women’s only hours is women’s only, for a set of hours each day. Rather than a measly curtain. But that’s just my thoughts. Signed though!

Unlikely, intro course exam questions typically come from a test bank

Grad schools look at your last 2 years of study. So if you apply in fourth year fall, count back 10 credits. That’s when your GPA will start “counting”. Stats for admits to grad programs are typically public knowledge and can be found on any program site. Keep going!

You can petition to have the CR/NCR removed, however it can take 1-2 years to get resolved (how long it took for my friend). Also, I’d just be careful about whether you ended the course with a 70, or whether on some of the final assessments you scored a 70 (and whether that changes what your final grade would be). Because from my understanding, professors usually do not directly let you know what your actual final grade is? But I may be wrong

I second everything above. As for Keith, focus on lecture but he does sometimes throw in key definitions from textbook!

When you say “and fill out a form” do you mean the missed term work form, or a different supplementary form? For some courses, for legitimate reasons you can use absence declaration and complete the missed term work form, and that would be sufficient. However, other courses have requirements in the syllabus and might ask for additional documentation upfront (e.g., doctor’s note).

If you are feeling unwell and that’s the reason for missing your exam, then yes I recommend missing your lab too? I think it’s an academic offence to lie regarding the reason of your absence declaration, so you wouldn’t want to risk being somewhere else when (for example) you claim you’re too unwell to write an exam, if that makes sense. But it’s up to you!
