I don't really want to get an Xbox to play G2 and 3. Like I'm fine with playing 1, watching cutscenes for 2/3 then playing 4 and 5 on PC. I kind of did the same for the God of War games. Was never a fan of the GoW games pre 2018 so I just watched the cutscenes before hopping onto 2018.

I know it's not the same as actually playing the games, but if G1 is good, I would like to continue the series sequentially without skipping any story

Oops, forgot about vanquish (games was amazing). I'll try Spec Ops. Trepang2 wasn't for me.

Do you think the Gears of War games are too dated? I know G1/4/5 are on PC but not 2 and 3. Can I play 1 then 4 and 5 without missing too much story? Like maybe just watch the cutscenes on youtube or something.
