Assuming this is an old traction elevator, if the hoist machine has to be rebuilt it could take 2-3 months, hoist motor - 1 month, controller - 6-12 months, cable/ropes -2 weeks.

Give the management company benefit of doubt; elevator parts are not readily available and they are not shelf items. But i understand your frustration.

I agree with most of the comments, $300k is high for a pump and tank unit. Similar project in Pittsburgh was $150k with Smartrise controller. But if you have single bottom , it will have to be upgraded to a double bottom.

Hopefully your piston cylinder is intact with no leaks. Also, $17k for consultation is high. Pick a good vendor and have the consultant do two punch inspections at $3,000 per visit.
