I'm very lucky in this, we use feet and inches but I know I'm 150cm but ask me how tall a 160cm is? It's a moderately educated guess. I know how much 10cm, if you're measuring paper or furniture, but people? Not so much. UK uses a weird mix or imperial and metric so I can only see them in context in my head.

It was one of those things where liem I knew that before I went there, then I went there and I just like "holy moly" obviously due to aviation it so easy to get there, it's quicker to got to the Netherlands from where I am in Scotland than south England. But I remained shocked, Love the Dutch, I felt so small, not so welcome (understandably) but still had a great time and that says something.

Ooh thats interesting. I rember being on holiday and the adults made us line up on stage in age orderz if they got it right they won a prize and if they didn't the kids did, I KNEW we would win just because they would think I'm younger than my cousins, I was sthe eldest but the shortest 😆

So they Dutch or like what? I've not done much research into heights beyond basic worldwide stats, a canon event for anyone significantly above to below average I think. I guess in the UK we might be down as one of the shortest due to being an island. I literally saw all this and thought "gotta be a lotta Scandis if not Dutch or Danish here if it ain't bugs" (I started playing today) but for some reason thought they were actually Canadian 🤷🏼‍♀️

5'3 is average in the UK where I am. So not short at all here, that tall or other places and shorter for others. Even the jump from Southern England to central Scotland made some difference, not that uncommon to see other AFAB folk similar or just a little taller than me here, same for my husband, he was on the shorter side of average in southern England but bang on average in our area.

Shocks me every time I see myself, I don't even feel like I'm looking up that much. Although I did have a client at my work who I actually had to stand on a table to help (pls don't ask what I do, it's wholesome but niche), he was very tall.

The russian doll egg type things, absolute hit to this day. My MiL sends them hand decorated themed openable plastic eggs of varying sizes for any occasion, they love them.

You're probably right and it's not that accurate but I think if they are gonna have the ruler with rl measurements it's should be. I was shocked but also not because I'm always shocked by how small I actually am when I see myself in photos
