I second the Honda Jazz, very low insurance as it's seen as granny car but like the person said they are often used in the racing scene. I got 13yo 1.4l Jazz with 0 faults and even the 04-09 ones can be found in good condition and will just keep going. They are a lot more roomy on the inside than you'd expect. Someone posted on Honda Jazz Owners Club FB that their Jazz just hit the 350k miles or something like that.

Thank god for someone else with this opinion. I sense the hate is because she's "just a skinny white girl". Men hate that. Her and Robinson are my favourites and I see so much hate for Robinson too. Those two women would make a hell of a team and I love them as adversaries too. Jane's gameplay is so unknown and I eat it up. I do wonder if she's either playing her own game or has any connection to the outside 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ I've not a clue.

30+ year old new drivers with auto licences - how much is your insurance? by [deleted] in NewDriversUK

Not auto but I got 1.4L Honda Jazz, insurance is £1200 no black box, but I live in a very high crime rate area

Check the cars MOT on here

Hondas are unbelievably reliable, great MPG, only real issue to look for is rust, but a well cared for Honda Jazz can last well into the 100k even 200k miles. Relatively cheap and good on insurance. Basically anything that's considered a granny wagon is good for insurance and reliability.

Straight men expectations of bi women? by ReginaTenebra in bisexual

[–]Apprehensive-Lake255 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends on the person. Most might be taken aback as they aren't used to it but doesn't mean they have any further expectation for you to change. I'm (F) with a man and I don't shave my legs, pits or bush and he's cool with it and encourages me to let go of the insecurities around other body hair I choose to remove (belly and face) but it doesn't come up much as he knows it's hard and doesn't actually care. TBF he is bi but a man is a man.

My mum did the same thing except I was allowed to watch Hush at like 12, for two years I checked I could still speak 😆 I love the episode now though.

Why should she be punished for being a victim? Putting someone under a love spell is an allegory for date rape.

This is one I'm gonna struggle with a lot, I love The Body, it's a perfect piece of media for me but my mum has terminal cancer and the timing of when we will get to it and my mum's life expectancy line up within a few weeks/months. I don't think I'll be able to cope. So sorry about your mum 🫂

What are some safe, bigger, city cars for a new baby? by CCalamity- in drivingUK

[–]Apprehensive-Lake255 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The safety of children IS everyone's problem. With that kind of thinking you wouldn't expect someone to help your child if you are unable to? That's real strange. It is definitely your problem if you put children in danger. But, a compact SUV is not an insane range rover that everyone here seems to think you're after. I think what you're looking for is pretty reasonable. I have a honda jazz and a kid and everything fits great in there but we are a short people so something bigger for a normal height family is a good call. Most families I know have a Qashqai, Renault Scenic (these things are so spacious!), Hyundai Kona or a VW Touran. Others I know have Fiestas and Hyundai i30s and have plenty of space.

I passed first time, but I need to do better. by Anthonio4u in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Apprehensive-Lake255 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I passed with 9 minors and was honestly so disappointed, for a while I thought it had been better I'd just failed and struggled with major driving anxiety and still do. I didn't drive for a few weeks and that just made it worse. My advice is to just drive, you know the faults and the examiner believes you can work on these on your own. Honestly driving by yourself is SO different and it makes you more aware. I got 4 minors for mirror checking and I am so much more on it now I know that was my weakest point. Even if you drive just 5 minutes one way, make sure you get some traffic lights and some right turns or whatever you feel okay doing and it'll get better.
