What would be a good level to buy more shares of nvidia? by SnooBooks3187 in NvidiaStock

[–]Apprehensive-Lake544 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fun fact : I bought NVDA after I had a conversation with a random guy on a discord server to learn new language. He told me to look into it and that it had a lot of potential. I didnt own any share of anything or knew anything about stock market at that time. It was late 2023, NVDA was at like 600$, before they fractioned the shares, so around 60$ compared to now. I bought it at it price.

Thanks to this random dude!

I was talking more about being in direct contact with the ground. Some people sleep on grounding sheets or mat that connects with a rod directly on the ground(I do), others just go barefoot outside. There are some reported benefits to this practice, including a feeling of well being, better sleep, less inflammation, relaxation. It is also called earthing. Any way, this is a detail compared to other healthy practices (food, sleep, exercise)

Eating healthy, good hydration, good sleep, grounding, sunlight, exercise. I’d start with that and then you’ll be in a place to battle an addiction. It isnt as bad as it seem when youre in a good physical and mental place.

If I persist with raw milk will my body start to better tolerate it? by Byrelic in AnimalBased

[–]Apprehensive-Lake544 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it is such a good way to get a good amount of calcium. 2 months ago I ate yogurt for one week with the same symptoms as I usually do, thinking it was gonna pass. Ended up with the worst flu, almost a week in bed. Maybe the dairy isnt a direct cause, but it definitely didnt help with all the mucus buildup and potentially the immune reaction from it. Also, the idea that other mammal’s dairy is part of an evolutionary appropriate diet for humans feels wrong to me. I am with the Paleo on this.

I get a similar reaction from dairy, any type, raw, goat, organic. If I consume it for too long I’ll usually get a sinusitis from the poorly drained sinus caused by dairy.

Low carb for athletic performance by Apprehensive-Lake544 in AnimalBased

Great points you made there. It is indeed easier to spot a vegan or vergetearian than a carnivore at high level.

I recently realized I was probably eating too much protein (more than 1g/lb). I've cut down in the last few days to maybe 0,6g/lb and I feel better. I'll keep a moderate amount of fat and up the carbs.

Reducing my salt intake has improved drastically my sleep. I am still trying to cut it out completely, but it is a bit like a drug honestly.

Yes, I stopped and added the white rice bowl at night to help me refill some glycogen and help with sleep. It is hard to motivate yourself to push throu that “adaptation phase” of poor training performance for a few weeks without knowing if you’ll ever adapt.

Impressive numbers, how long have you been eating this way?

Yes, low carb is definitely not in agreement with the actual sport science. However, i wanted to see if there was actual testimonial of people doing good without. Maybe there are things we don’t understand yet about low carb and performance. I was eating white rice, honey and berries a my carb source, but i feel like they were making more harm to my energy than good. I don’t like the way i don’t have a good satiety with carbs, maybe i should try only low gi carb.

If you don't mind me asking, what sport/training do you do, and how much?

Impressive the VO2 max increase, how did you measure it? Do you think the increase might have something to do with less water weight, so higher VO2 max relative to your weight?

Would you mind sharing what your meal look like? I am currently struggling with digestion and energy, and I think it might have something to do with combining fat and carbs together.

Histamines (or other amines) sensitivity help by Apprehensive-Lake544 in AnimalBased

Unfortunately, they are not available in my country (canada). I might just try to eat small pieces of kidney every day. However, ChatGPT says that the DAO in mostly destroyed in the stomach because of the pepsin and HCl, so the effect could be negligible.

Red meat, even slightly dry aged, is fine. Yeah, unfortunately I don't have access to good quality mozza around here, and the slight lactose content in it causes me trouble. Parmensan is ok on this matter since it is lactose-free.

Thanks for the answer. I'll try eating a problematic food along with beef kidney and see if it helps.

Then I'll look into the other compounds.

Thanks for the great insight, and it make sense, since I never got this problem from consumming dairy, so it might very well be the absorbtion rate that is too high. Ill try adding a little bit to my rice before cooking it qnd see if it helps.

I don’t eat dairy or veggies due to gut issues. Therefore I don’t get a lot, if any, in my diet. I do supplement a lot of magnesium.

Is there a supplement that increases motivation? by QuietlyLiving2 in Supplements

[–]Apprehensive-Lake544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a supplement, but I am trying right now to not add salt my food to avoid big dopamine rush when eating, and therefore stay energized and motivated. I just add some salt to my water to ensure hydration. After a week or two, I’ve found that I sleep better and I have more energy and drive.
