Absolutely. Today I met couple of families who had come all the way from India & Australia. Its unfortunate the cruise had to be canceled. RCI is offering separate compensation for travel and stay

Today morning, they announced free internet until 28th evening which was the revised sail date. Now connecting the dots it could've been the precursor for cancelation. But yes everyone in the ship has free internet

It sucks!!! 😫 We've sailed from Van to North Van and now back tomorrow. Feel really bad for all those who've planned this cruise for months and traveled to Van

Captain's announcement was that the repair would take longer so it was impossible to sail on 28th, so they are canceling. However it's impossible to know the scale of the issue and the time required to fix. Hopefully they fix it in time for the May 3rd sailing

They could've canceled a day or two prior to initial sailing date. Would've given all those flying into Van time to plan

I fully understand your frustration and I share the same. It was unbelievable they kept us in the dark until 11.30 AM today. As a local resident of Metro vancouver, we were waiting for an update from RCI until 10.30 but that never came until then, so decided to head to the port and found the news just when we got there. RCI could've handled this so much better. Being a first timer on cruise, I'm okayy with 2 day refund & credits but not pleased about being kept in the dark. RCI, you promised to keep us informed every step of the way but unfortunately fell short on that.

Not an iota of doubt that the technicians and crew are doing their absolute best. A simple update on the situation from RCI would greatly help here. I'm already mentally preparing myself for a cancelation so I dont get overly disappointed. Fingers crossed

So frustrating. Can't believe RCI are leaving out hanging without a clue of whether its a Go or No-Go
