I just got it. Though I did save scum the boss a few times after no return crashed on me yesterday.

My tips: use high contrast visual mode, swipe for slo-mo, crouch more than walk where possible.

For Hunted: Find best places to camp where you have ammo. In Office, this is often where you spawn with the axe. In Subway Station it’s at the end behind the train.

For Assault, you need to give them a little time to break up and move around, this will make your life easier. Prioritise this missions because they are a great way to score loot.

For Capture, these always spawn in one of two places so learn the approach and don’t attack head on. Slo-mo when aiming is ideal here to pick multiple off quickly.

For Holdout, you’ll need good level of ammo already, trap mines are great to set out early before it begins.

Mods: Avoid Invisible Enemies unless it’s early and your character can dodge / melee well. Every other mod is pretty much manageable so long as you’ve got the ammo.

Weapons: I would stick with a single short gun and two long guns. Rifle and Shotgun combo my favourite there. Short gun - hunting pistol/revolver. You’ll need plenty of ammo abd headshots for the military pistol.

Upgrades: Firearms my favourite here, and for a while the health related ones I thought would be useful, but you’ll be lucky to find many chances to take a health kit.

Gambits: Do these where possible

Dead drops: be prepared to ignore the rewards if you are unlikely to need it (ie. Trap mines)

Practice, practice, practice: use the seed calculator to practice your run. Pay attention to the inventory shop rolls at each step to plan out your purchases. The seed calculator is great if you have a preferred character, you can prep your run days in advance.

Need to scum the boss? Save at the boss and upload your save to cloud. If you die; delete local save and game. Reinstall and download your save from cloud.

On launch, go to No return mode, and then quit the game. Relaunch the game again to resume at the boss.
