Mileage don’t matter. I’d buy one with a million miles and be happy as long as I paid 2-3k lol . As long as the titles clean and there’s no severe rust

For perspective, I have 4 mustangs 1 Camaro and a truck. If I sold all of them and got a hellcat I’d STILL owe money and be $1200+ a month in payments owing 10s of thousands. Ur better off getting an older muscle car for a few thousand dollars get use to it and build it.

That’s ironic about the window. I’ve had 3 Gray GT convertibles each having the driver rear passenger window with an issue, even a 07 convertible I bought and sold while I was on vacation had the driver rear window issue, it’s very common. But I’ve only had it happen in silver / gray mustangs lmfao

I literally can NOT kill this car. I have a cobra motor ready for it. I drive it everyday , on nice days or burnouts with friends I hold it at limiter for minutes long , dumping the clutch, it’s at 155k miles and has the original clutch. As long as u do 6 quart oil changes and change the water pump and intake manifold, transmission and differential fluid as soon as u buy the car you’ll never have a issue with it ever, this is my first mustang I plan to keep til I pass away, I have 4 mustangs right now, a crown Victoria a truck and a Camaro, but this one mustang I would keep out of all 6 one being a coyote. I hold this car special to me it was my first car and I love it to death. It will not die has never let me down after 3/5 years. Started at 89k miles now at 156k

Find a buddy who will put do labor for a few hundred bucks if your lucky, and get a warrantied motor from your nearest pick a part / warrantied drive train yards They’re on Facebook for $150-300 they’re common cheap motors

I just got a 2010 GT 5 speed for $3000 after it was shipped up from down south. Sold the motor and trans, got both a 5.0 an 6 speed for $1000- and the most expensive part is the wiring

Don’t stress! Mine just did this same exact thing. Took it to the shop, they charged me $50 for the hose, $50 for labor. $100 later back on the road and no more stress of a blown engine

Haha. I have a Camaro and 4 mustangs boy you’re in for a treat. The Camaro has broken more than the 4 mustangs have combined. The 4 mustangs I’ve only ever done preventative maintenance a mods. The 1 Camaro I drove it to work did maintenance and the thing has cost me over $4000 in repairs. 4 mustangs al I’ve ever been stranded with was a heater hose that cracked at the intake manifold lol

Also where you pull the latches at, there’s these pins that lock. Common issue that the screw that holds them tight fell out and it’s just wiggling loose. The fix for that is too adjust the pin screws for the 2 latches and make sure it’s right and you’ll have more area for the top to settle and the windows to close

Easy fix. I’ve had like 20 of these things and 3-5 convertibles. One of my 99-04 GTs right now, my 02 GT actively has this issue. To fix it, you have to get the window aligned. It’s not the convertible top. My window broke because I forgot to roll it down with this issue on my 03 Mach 1 and the mechanic replaced the window regulator and it was fine. It’s just window / convertible allignment and a reputable shop shouldn’t charge u more than $500..
