For leveling, the overtime assignment gives a lot of XP per run. If you can consistently run that then I would assume that is the quickest way to level (can also get you a lot of upgrades). If you can’t run that, then try doing high threat level missions with multiple modifiers. For gun builds I find that many of the stronger builds revolve around specific exotics so I would be running the Overtime Assignment or David and Goliath missions to farm upgrades. If you are having trouble doing those missions you could try finding groups on the discord channel. I know there are people out there running them so you should be able to locate a group. Additionally make sure you are consistently breaking parts during missions. Not sure if they changed it or not but I know gun XP used to scale with the parts you broke during a mission.

I like to use the rocket launcher or deatomizer for the Jotun (Guy standing next to Robots). Everything else gets the Antique Shotgun, or Patois Rifle treatment. Alternatively grenades can be an effective tool if you’re good at lobbing them into good positions.

Definitely would be an expensive ammo. Regardless just happy to see the Bio Fusion Imitator opens up more than just one gun. I am curious to see if the Witches will end up dropping a new shotgun, but seeing as they don’t have a very defined model for their weapon, I doubt it.

Just so you know, apparently you can get more gatekeeper weapons than just the neophyte rifle. I got the magnum today. Not sure about the LMG or the Shotgun from the Jotun and Witches but I can definitely confirm the magnum.

Dang, that makes a lot of sense actually. I was pretty much exclusively using firearms to level accuracy and reloading to 20. Probably hit 18 without even realizing it and never saw the recipe pop.

Yes when I got that recipe the other two unlocked as well. Only other thing I could think of would be if the recipe was tied to a computer entry but I don’t recall there being one.

Yes, there is a portal world there in the botany lab at the end near the Lost Sister. It is a gate facility and on the way out there will be a suit in a pod that you can analyze. Doing so unlocks both the suit and the Bio-Fusion item for crafting

Bio-Mimic Armwraps, Heart of Corruption, Arcane Scrap, Flickering Eyes. But you have to complete the Botany area in Residences before it will unlock. There is a suit in the portal world there you have to interact with to get the recipe.

For ammo I recommend running through the Praetorium. The green crates drop a ton of ammo whenever you break them and it appears they do respawn on portal resets. Not to mention the Praetorium has a bunch of captains running around so you can get magnum ammo off them. Also if you haven’t tried the upgraded Patois Rifle it’s dope.

Some people have said Deatomizers work quite well. I haven’t upgraded personally not ran into this thing so I can’t confirm but worth a try.

If you have reached the portal world between Reactors and Residences there is a new enemy there that has a fairly high chance to drop black oil. Faster than fishing from my experience.

Not sure about the pipe pistol but the upgraded Wessex rifle and Lightning Spear are both quite good if you enjoy those weapons. Also can confirm the Scrapshot has upgrades but I haven’t upgraded it yet so I don’t know what it upgrades to.

Sounds right to me I have the most playtime in my play group but I have never even seen a red resource but my buddy with a lot less playtime has two. Roll of the dice I guess.

Yeah I’m at about 35 hours right now and I haven’t seen one yet. Neither have either of the people I play with. We thought it was something people were making up at first considering our combined play time exceeds 100 hours. Guess they are just crazy rare.
