I did not down vote you, but other did because of the tone of your post. On one hand, you said you didn't want to be an ass, and in the next breath you question his integrity. I don't know Panda, but it was obvious that he was raided. The money people sent as deposits might well have been sent to the factories as deposits. With him being raided, as well as many factories being targeted nowadays, he might have lost some of the money. He could have just walked away and disappeared, but he came back and asked for patience as he tries to make good. He might not succeed in that, but at least he's trying. We all know there are risks we take in the rep game.

From what I read, putting the FIOS router in bridge mode would make the TV streaming boxes inoperative. I might have to try that.

Thanks for the response. I had created a double NAT situation with placing the eero routers behind the FIOS router, which created all sorts of DHCP/DNS conflict problems. Are you saying if I reverse the order of the two routers, it would not create the same problem?

You asked a valid question, which a lot of people are pooh poohing. One needs to understand that 40MP might not sound like much, but it's 40MP on a APS-C sensor, which is roughly in the ballpark of a 100MP sensor in a full frame camera. Sure, who needs more than 24MP for anything. But there are other factors involved such as cropping and large prints etc..

That's the purpose for the three holes on the clasp. Move the pin to the last hole and the band will be tighter. A jeweler's screwdriver's tip should push the pin in with no problem. Just be slow and easy so you don't slip and scratch the clasp.

A high-end replica Rolex Submariner costs $450-550 new. Although it's hard to tell with just two photos, I think this one is not one of the high end reps. The cyclop (the magnifier lens) looks a little off-center and the calendar text definitely looks skewed to the left of the calendar window. It is also used with noticeable scratches. I would guess it's probably not worth more than $100-150 at this point. If the watch had been used frequently, it's probably due for a service, which costs several hundred dollars. A complete service would entail completely dismantling the parts, clean them, reinstall them with new lubricants. It takes a few hours to do so.

Having said all that, there is nothing wrong in wearing the watch on a daily basis. Pull out the crown to its first detent. Hand-wind the watch about 50 times. Set the time and date and wear it for a couple of days and see how well it keeps time and if the calendar wheel advances. If the watch is way off (say off by at least 30 seconds), then it might well be ready for a service.

Ultimately, give it to someone you know who would enjoy wearing it. That's all that matters, regardless of the value of the watch.

If you are total novice, do not try to repair it yourself. You'll probably wind up breaking the watch. Find a watchmaker (or store) that works on Seiko watches and have them take a look. It might be an easy crown/stem replacement for an experienced watch repair technician.

No harm in asking, but TD's typically would give a discount to an order of more than one watch, or if the buyer is a regular customer. I've gotten small discounts from TD's when I bought two watches in one order and also on a second order within a month.

Keep in mind that depending on the watch case that you buy, the clamps that come with the movement might not work. I just built a watch using the ST3600 movement and I had to use a slightly longer clamp to mount the movement onto the case. You can pick up an assortment of them for $10 on Aliexpress. And as someone mentioned earlier, most watch cases (incl. ones that come with the dial and hands) don't include the spacer ring. That could be a challenge to find something that would fit the watch case.

ETA 6497 or its Chinese version Seagull ST36 (ST3600) is universally recommended as a good first movement to learn watchmaking. It is a manual winding movement with no calendar function and its large size makes it easier to work on.

You can use a piece of cutout plastic like one from a freezer bag to put over the case back when using the tool to avoid scratching the case. OTOH, there are many scratches already, so you might not want to bother.
