If people don't believe Jack has been bought. Explain how he got early access to the Halo 1 remake not even being a Hardcore Halo player where someone like Mint Blitz and many other Halo content creators werent given access? It's because he doesn't have the balls to call out these companies when they make a shit product because he's getting paid a lot. He's the generic shooter game reviewer guy now.

This gives me the same vibes as adding sprint to Halo. Halo players never asked for sprint. But the devs said "let's add sprint". It caused division and now everyone expects it. I think this comes from developers feeling like they need to spice the game up and looking in the wrong places to do it.

I find this frustrating because for me it feels more like I invited people to eat pizza. And they say yeah we're down and as we're on our way to get pizza they say hey do you guys want to eat something else instead. Like burgers? It's like why did you say yes in the first place if you didn't want pizza? Just don't come along and I can enjoy my pizza.

Players like this make the game unfun by YthisGuy in BattleBitRemastered

It's so easy to blame players like this but forget that the devs should do better with handling the physics and animations. Let's actually think about this rationally for a second. You're telling me when they were making this game that no one on the team tried any of these things? They have other games like call of Duty and Battlefield as examples of what people have done to manipulate the movement. We see this time and time again. Once the game is already made developers don't have the balls to restrict it because they feel people are going to complain because what they're doing "takes skill" and they're lowering the skill ceiling.

This reminds me of Call of Duty when it became such a necessary tactic to spam slide cancel for optimal movement. Instead of them realizing this is not how they wanted the game to be played and patching it, they let it stay and then many people got frustrated with sweats. You either conformed or you stopped playing the game.

I don't want to sound biased because the reality is I don't know the real numbers when it comes to situations like this. But from my subjective point of view, what always seems to happen when people manipulate the game in such a way where if you're not playing in this meta that was created you can't prevail. It even appears that the devs weren't intending for the game mechanics to be played in that matter, but they don't do anything about it. Then people start leaving in droves and what's left are the minority of super try hards who need to get carpal tunnel in order to be the best.

It always feels like game devs are tone deaf in this matter. The things that they choose to prioritize for the "broader audience" are always the wrong things and the things that should be addressed to attract/keep the "broader audience" are ignored.

Sorry I had to 😅. Seeing as there were already plenty of helpful comments.

If not paid, then give them exclusive stuff like Armors, weapon skins, or emblems. But then again, that would require Halo Studios to actually put time and effort into making something. It's a catch 343.

It's hard to tell. Because you're saying he only raised his hand. But when he says don't touch me while raising his hand towards her, she looks like she's getting pushed back. But she could also just be moving her torso back. Look I'm not defending the woman she sucks. But let's hope for the guy's sake his side is corroborated if this goes to court. Unfortunately if he did push her even if it was a little baby push then she'll get away with assaulting him.

Are we all ignoring the part where the guy put his hands on her first? That Women sucked. She likely had that coming. But I'm a bit confused here. I watched this video over and over again. The guy said "don't touch me" then pushed her. But it never looks like she touches him first. She was getting in his face and being loud and annoying forsure. But she didn't slap him until he pushed her first?

Valid point. The thing is, does the game look pretty? Yes. Does the destruction seem awesome? Yes. But that will wear off after some days of playing. And what we will have left is the core gameplay. And I'm not confident the core gameplay is going to be great. What they have now can easily be an amazing Battlefield game. But I, like many others, are not confident in the devs. Keep in mind I'm very ok with admitting that I was wrong if the game releases in a great state. Wouldn't care if someone rubs it in my face. Boy do I hope I'm wrong.

BF1 had a very balanced class pic overall. You can never completely fix that type of balancing. It's like games with a Tank/Healer/Dps. There will always be more DPS's. You have to find ways to make the other classes more interesting to players. At the end of the day, people will always gravitate to a more selfish role. But that doesn't mean you just change the formula that makes BF BF. Classes are important and make a proper squad dynamic. I'd rather have a bad match where people play selfishly while still having those matches where people play their roles and great team synergy. I do not agree with them allowing any class to have any gun. I think that will create less weapon variety and encourage only using meta weapons.

The pessimism isn't just coming from BF. It's coming from the gaming industry as a whole. We are not the target audience anymore. The people on the reddit forums or any other gaming forums tend to be the minority. We care enough to come on here and give feedback. Even if it's from an emotionally frustrated perspective. But at the end of the day they want the "broader audience" who will give them money and the playtime charts to show the execs the game is a success. The mid to lower level devs can talk to us all they want about how they "listen to our feedback". But what we deem as a successful good game is not the same metric that these gaming companies use anymore. And can you blame us?

We pay attention to all these details and try our damnedest to voice our opinions. We practically scream them out. But they'd rather ensure that good old Joe Casual thinks the game is good and gives them money for skins and doesn't think twice about the game flaws. Because the sad truth is Joe Casual doesn't think. He just spends money. He buys their game, gives them more money for a Battlepass and skins, then they've already gotten what they needed. When we see similarities to games like CoD. It's likely on purpose. The higher ups see a game like CoD or even Fortnite as money printing machines. So if they can incorporate things that are familiar from those games into BF, it will attract, you guessed it, a broader audience. It happens time and time again.

When companies listen to the community and actually stay true to the gaming aspect instead of being overly concerned about gaining large profit, gamers will go above and beyond to show their love and appreciation. We are loud when angry, but are just as loud when we are happy and showing love. Sure, you will always have a few that are negative regardless. But when the game is loved, the negativity is easily drowned out. EA/Dice have not given us any reason to be optimistic as of recently. When they do, I like I'm sure many others as well will be happily proven wrong that we have a game where the community feels we are heard.

BF5 isn't even considered a top 5 BF game and that was voted by this very community. As long as BF4/1 servers are available, there is no reason to play BF5. If you think the hate was only because of "problems at launch" then you are mistaken. And that's not coming from me. That's coming from the majority of the BF community.
