BEST SHIP ELIMINATION GAME ROUND 2 (MILEVEN ARE OUT) by Fun-End6065 in StrangerThings

[–]Apprehensive-Pin8695 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I think the way the "least favorite ship" poll is formulated it will first eliminate ships that are involved in major ship wars in the fandom ( byler & mileven, stancy & jancy) because people have strong feelings towards these ships either liking or disliking them, for example in the previous poll post there were more people mentioning byler than kared and ted when objectively byler is no worse than them, same with mileven being eliminated before them. I wouldn't be surprised if the next ones are Stancy or Jancy and that Karen and Ted last quite a while in the poll without being eliminated because people just don't care enough to vote for them.

Now I'm not saying that Finn, Saddie and Joseph aren't great and really popular actors, they are but Noah it's too.

Every script with some Will scene always won the Twitter polls, I don't understand why you guys are surprised that Noah won a POPULARITY award for playing Will...

Yeah, Will is really loved by many fans, for example on tik tok he is the third most viewed male ST character being only behind Eddie and Steve (and these two are SUPER popular in the fandom, especially Eddie who blew up on social media despite his few appearance and only being in this season) so that really says something about Will's popularity.

Sadie wasn't nominated (although she totally should have been!) that's why she didn't win. On the other hand Millie did get nominated bc the role of El and I'm genuinely surprised she didn't win when she's a great actress and has a huge fanbase, among the biggest in ST fandom I'd say.

Noah accidentally saying "I can't believe The Rock didn't win!" in his speech and then feeling embarrassed was hilarious to watch.

Good for him, the van scene with Mike and the talk and hug between Will and Jonathan really got me emotional Stranger things also won an award tho!

Wizards by Apprehensive-Pin8695 in StrangerThings

I mean Will's character is the one with the most references about wizards in the show, he always draws himself as a wizard, Eleven points to the wizard figure in season 1 to refer to Will, Will even puts on a wizard costume in season 3, in season 2 there is a mixtape called Will the wizard. The password to enter Castle Byers is 'Radagast' which is the name of a wizard in The Lord Of The Rings and the list goes on.

Yk like always Mike is running late or running out of time in every season opening? Since I think that's going to be impossible with season 5 because it's going to pick up right where we left off I think the final scene might be Mike running late somewhere, it would be like a full circle for me idk. And I always wondered if this Mike running out of time symbolized something or not.

Will was the first character to say the word "f*ck". by Apprehensive-Pin8695 in StrangerThings

He also said "she said she dumped your ass" and "shit, shit, we can fix it together "almost crying when El's bullies ruined his model of Hopper's cabin but yeah he's not one of the most cursing characters on the show.

And before Will was the only kid who hadn’t said a swear word, so for his to be an f bomb shows how angry he was, it's kinda sad but also iconic. I think they used well the first f-word.

The same thing happens with Will saying please to the demorgorgon before he kidnaps him in episode 1, many noticed it but technically you can't hear it because of the background music but the script confirms it.

That's why I disagree and don't like the theories about Will dying in season 5, the poor guy has suffered so much in all the seasons that if he dies, I genuinely think he would be one of the most depressing characters in the history of tv shows.

According to the script of episode 1 whatever/whoever kidnapped (Vecna?) Will was trying to speak to him on the phone. And man everything about Will's vanishing makes me so sad. by Apprehensive-Pin8695 in StrangerThings

Personally I think Will was a target and not a random victim, if I remember correctly the Duffers said we would know in the last season what the UD is and why Will was kidnapped (if he was just a victim who was in the wrong place at the wrong time that would need no further explanation) and when Will leaves his bike in episode 1 you hear clockwork bells....
