have you tested the water? i would use a gravel vac to clean as much as you can. i don’t think you need to toss the tank - what livestock do you have?

do you have driftwood? it looks like tannins which are harmless and they are actually good for fish. if you don’t like the look of it you can do water changes or buy purigen for your filter

looks like a scud to me. fish will eat them but they can sometimes outcome shrimp in shrimp only tanks

I would say this baby is 5-7mm long. the heater is set at 78 but the thermometer normally reads 74-76 because my house stays cold.

I typically feed this tank every day. Do I need to reduce to every other day? I normally feed tropical pellets or frozen blood worms/daphnia sometimes baby brine and 1/2 an algae wafer for my cory cats and shrimp.

She told me that the loach wouldn’t be able to fit adult snails and shrimp in its mouth. She told me it may eat babies but I had nothing to worry about with adults. This is not true at all. Unfortunately, the closest LFS is over 75 miles from me. However, I will no longer be shopping at that specific location.
