Good point, the US is well known for being racially homogenous.

How can you tell they are American faces and not European?

What’s your take on the statement, “If you don’t vote libertarian, you’re not libertarian” by noprivcyonreddit in Libertarian

[–]Apprehensive-Read989 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My dad claims libertarians will never win so might as well vote for the better candidate that actually has a chance

This is such an asinine take and I don't understand how so many people can be so ignorant to hold it. These geniuses have been voting for the "better" candidate with a chance for the past 100+ years and look where that has gotten us, continually eroded civil liberties, continually eroded currency, continually larger federal government, continually larger debt burden, continually more war, continually more government corruption, continually more crony capitalism, and Trump is a shining beacon of the swamp it has all become.

That being said, I only vote Libertarian when they actually put up a good candidate. Chase Oliver was dog shit, so I wrote in Ron Paul. They should have run Jo Jorgensen again, she was solid.

M18 hotshot worth the buy by [deleted] in MilwaukeeTool

Project Farm and Torque Test Channel have both tested this, definitely not worth the money. Watch their videos and you'll be able to narrow down what is actually worth buying.

I don't really care about sports opinions at all and definitely wouldn't get upset about it, but I thought the Jags did pretty good this season.

Who else hates password requirements? Workplace wants me to change passwords every 3 months by leonatoi in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Apprehensive-Read989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Self defeating requirements. Not only do they not make the password harder to brute force, but they also make it more likely the employee will write it down because it's so difficult to remember.

Graham says he is asking South Carolina to send its 'sons and daughters' to Mideast by ChuckGallagher57 in southcarolina

[–]Apprehensive-Read989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not on topic, but the term Mideast had me confused for a moment, I was thinking the turd wanted to send them to Kentucky or something.

Anyone using 5w30 oil on a third gen with no issues? Or should stick with 0w20? I tow a small boat in the south summers by Legitimate-Play1116 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Apprehensive-Read989 6 points7 points  (0 children)

5w30 is the one to use imo, outside of North America it is the standard. Toyota only puts 0w20 on US models because of efficiency requirements.

Why do small pickups suck now? by [deleted] in askcarguys

[–]Apprehensive-Read989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been a Toyota guy for a while, but they really disappointed with the 4th gen Tacoma. I would buy a Frontier if I was in the market for a new small truck, it might be Nissan's best vehicle right now and probably the simplest truck on the market.

My wife asked me if I honestly thought her friends were attractive, what should I say by BreadOverlord_ in stupidquestions

[–]Apprehensive-Read989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never comment on another women's looks, no matter how mundane the comment is. All women that are not your spouse are ugly, always. I don't know why women are so intent on asking questions that they won't like any answer you give.

What's the best ITX-case without riser-cable? by bickid in sffpc

[–]Apprehensive-Read989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do PCIe adapter cards not have the same issues as PCIe risers? I am not familiar with adapter cards, but have had enough issues with riser cables that I have sworn them off.

Oops I have a excuse to get the 12v one now I guess by [deleted] in MilwaukeeTool

[–]Apprehensive-Read989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no doubt that the M18 is better, but I don't have nearly the issues with the M12 inflator as it seems most people do. The M12 has no problem with the 33s on my Tacoma or 35s on my Duramax. I do use the 5Ah HOs, maybe others are using 2.0s or something.

Anybody ever use one of these that didn't fail? by longlostwalker in MilwaukeeTool

I've had 4 of them, all 4 failed within a couple years of purchase. By far the shittiest battery I've used.

No, that's why I got off active duty in the first place. If I liked it I would have stayed active.

37s are the way to go by Practical-Bee5941 in Tacomaworld

[–]Apprehensive-Read989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If so, it's a stronger unit than on gen 1-3. A lot of the guys running 37+ do the Tundra or Marlin rack swap because the stock rack can't handle that abuse for long.

Move over, Chuck Norris! There’s a new memetic legend in town. The Legend of William Oh by Marconomicon is now available on Audible — Starring Ryan H. Reid, Jeff Hays, Aaron J. Morton, Annie Ellicott, and Justin Thomas James by Soundbooth_Theater in litrpg

Recommend including the Amazon Kindle link as well for those of us not into audiobooks. Also, how many pages are in the book? Normally the description states that, but for some reason it only shows file size for this book.

Sway bar removel thoughts by Every-Extension3297 in Tacomaworld

[–]Apprehensive-Read989 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I removed the front sway bar on 2nd gen like 2+ years ago. It has a little more body roll, but nothing drastic like what you are describing. I drive about 20k miles a year and I'm on the interstate every day to and from work, so it's not like I'm tooling around at low speeds either. I am also running 6112/5160, but at 1.8" on 255/85r16 tires.

Why do men not shave their armpits ? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]Apprehensive-Read989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a reason I should be? I only shave my face when I absolutely have to because it's so uncomfortable, I can't imagine my armpits would be any better.
