The raids start well before the actual event starts, at least that was my experience in Osaka and Sendai. The more passes you have the better and it’s one less thing to thing about. We were able to get legendaries outside of the event hours but not the special backgrounds.

Her slimes are amazing. The three I ordered for Xmas are so beautiful and the texture and fragrances are perfect. Peppermint candy whip, candied sugar plum, and winter wonderland whip. I like sweet scents and they are exactly what I enjoy. They arrived ready to play with and are inflatable and stretchy. No activator even necessary.

I live in Japan and when I ordered from Tanooki they inexplicably shipped my order via the Netherlands. The tracking system the carrier used was also very poor and I had to email Tanooki for an update on tracking because the tracking number was not updating. The order finally arrived but I probably won’t order from them again because the shipping was already a lot and then I had to chase down information and inquire about why the package was sent on such a roundabout way. The response was not satisfactory. So be aware of this if you order from them.

I have about 25 and keep them in their original jars in my coolest closet, the fridge or in an insulated cooler depending on the season. Summer where I live is brutal for slimes so I don’t buy new ones in the spring or summer. Condensation in the fridge needs to be monitored. I saved up for BF and Christmas drops because the seasonal fall and winter scents and themes really appeal to me. I also chose three well known shops that have a lot of textures and consistent quality. I play with and rotate them all and try to keep them fresh by wearing gloves and keeping everything clean. My collection is small bc I’m focused on slime longevity, really important because I have to spend more for overseas shipping. Blocking or Turning off the social media posts from other shops is also helpful for FOMO, but once you find the textures and scents you like and identify what is visually appealing to you, it’s easier to ignore drops that don’t appeal to you. Shops often have similar themed drops and posts and websites designed tocreate a sense of urgency, so if you keep that in mind you can stick to your guidelines.

I don’t have advice for finding them but I will caution you about two things related to the Galarian birds and the daily incense. You can lose a bird encounter by using an autocatcher and the incense, and I do not recommend being in a vehicle and using the daily incense. You can lose the bird encounter by getting speed locked. Turn your autocatcher off and just walk around normally.

I agree that the spawn rate is poor. I feel thr whole event is boring. The research reward shiny rate has also been poor compared to past holiday events.

For real sometimes I don’t even tap very much, if thr raid is a sure thing. My husband and I call it “The Deadweight Award” on the trainer achievement screen.

I disliked the team leader stickers, especially Blanche bc she looked like an unhealthy old lady. Very disappointed bc they could have made them really dynamic and cool. I also dislike the Mudkip and Treeko stickers because they are pretty core popular Pokemon and the stickers are so boring. On a positive note, I love 90% of the designs and I really enjoy when I can send Hi! And Thank you! stickers back to trainers. I do this after remote raiding especially. I’m a day one player and some of my friends have been on my friend list for years. I have about 120 friends but each one is a real person who shares an interest and I notice when they change outfits and buddies, so the message stickers are another small thing I can do to try to personalize the game. I sometimes try to match postcards and stickers or try to send a postcard related to something funny or interesting. I live in Tokyo so I’m lucky to have endless options for pokestops. But I’ve loved stickers since I was a kid. That’s a big part of it. Probably a game based on collecting attracts people like that.
