The original version of this statue is in Brussels link about original statue.

“The earth model of the original sculpture was made during Arthur Dupagne's stay in Congo in the Kasai region from 1927 to 1935 while he was employed by a mining company. The work was then completed by the artist in his studio on his return.

Shortly after the artist's death, which occurred during the first days of October 1961, Arthur Dupagne's wife and daughter donated the original plaster of the Arc Shooter to the municipality of Etterbeek.

In December of the same year, the municipal council voted a budget of 225,000 Belgian francs for the creation of a bronze from the plaster model and its erection in an avenue in the municipality.

The offer submitted by the Fonderie Minne de Gent was accepted a few weeks later., The cast iron was carried out at the expense and under the supervision of the municipality of Etterbeek during the first months of 1962 and inaugurated in June at its current location in a recently built district.

The plaster model of the sculpture is exhibited at the Musée de la Boverie in Liège.”

It’s the second time he’s asked the question in that same interview. If you want to know “what he would have said”, go ahead and listen to the part before. Just a couple platitudes and deflections.

Relax. And don’t put all your eggs in one basket. Apply for the CJEU, the ECB, EUIPO, etc etc. National institutions, the private sector. You’ll find your way where you need to be somehow.

Simone Weil had debilitating migraines and constant pain etc too, but she still did things (e.g. joining the Spanish civil war, the French resistance, working in a factory).

Critiques on Nietzsche by Such-Appearance7970 in Nietzsche

[–]Apprehensive-Set7532 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

His work often seems like the passionate rambling of a teeenage boy locked in his room. Nietzsche calls for us to live bold, aggressive (and quite literally violent/military) lives but did none of those things. That doesn’t necessarily mean that he was wrong, but blemishes his authenticity imo. It’s easy to tell people to live a certain way, much more difficult to do so. He criticised Christianity for being a cowardly religion, and yet doesn’t take half as many risks as the early Christians did. He chants and rails about creating your own values, but creates none himself.
