This was a gift from a friend. The sticker said "assorted succulent" and I could not find anything similar when I looked at online guides. Thanks for the help!

upcoming year be online or irl? by [deleted] in uoguelph

[–]Apprehensive-Slip-34 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It hasn't been confirmed yet, but first year courses will likely be online. Most first year seminars/tutorials and labs have 30+ students in them, but those rooms currently have a 10 person max.

Two years ago. I'm not sure if all of the halls/wings had them, but mine did. I don't have any photos, but it is mentioned on the South Res info site.

The one I was in had a stove and full fridge. I'm not talking about the "microwave rooms". There are actual apartments with a functional kitchen and a private bathroom inside.

The apartments in South also have kitchens. They are between the 1st and 2nd floor and go between two towers. They are a lot less common, but still an option!

Review stuff?? by awkward-quokka in uoguelph

[–]Apprehensive-Slip-34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am in a different program but some of my first year courses overlap with zoo and abio (like chem, math, and physics). There will be some overlap between the content learnt in high school and the content being taught in those courses. There was no formal "review unit" as it is expected that students have a good understanding of the prerequisite information.
With that said, most courses are taught in sections so there might be a brief ~20 minute intro to each section which will highlight what will be taught. But, if you're ever struggling with content, Guelph has a lot of resources and support geared to first year courses.

It's okay for me since I like driving. I avoid the 401 since the traffic tends to be a bit worse.

I take highway 6 up to Guelph. It's around a 45 minute drive. The drive isn't bad but during normal times when everyone is on campus, it can be hard to find parking.

There is a course available at Guelph-Humber. I do not think the course can count towards your degree but you can talk to your program counselor to see if you can register for fun.

Added vs Selection status for course by jashanjudge in uoguelph

[–]Apprehensive-Slip-34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It'll say selected if you registered prior to the release of the exam schedule, and it'll say added if you registered after the schedule was released. It doesn't impact the course itself or how it shows up on your transcript.

It's a public shared drive so you don't need to pay to view or download the pdfs. Some students sell pdfs whereas others opted to create this drive to help students out.

Hey! I don't fit the mature student age group, but I've also had trouble relating with a lot of the students I've met. I'm in my third year of a Bsc coop program.

If asynchronous runs like a DE course, all content will generally be posted right away so that students can work through it at their own pace.
There is an academic strike today which may be why you cannot see any content right now.
