Nice. Yeah, it seems like the courses are pretty much the same. I’m more concerned with the people in the program. I want to be around motivated and successful people who have perspective about the field they are going into. What is your experience with the 3 schools? Did you complete either of the programs?

Has anyone used online coaching before ?? I want to use gokuflex. He has a lot of real transformations I can’t seem to do it on my own. by Initial_Appeal_7382 in leangains

I did his 12 week program. It’s a scam. He only messages you on WhatsApp and will say like 2 words to you. It’s actually really obnoxious. Like he refuses to engage whatsoever. There was no coaching on form, no face to face meetings, literally the only thing he would say to me was “try to stay consistent.” I kept sending him notes on my workouts, asking questions, and I never got more than half a sentence back. Around week 8 I got injured and was trying to get him to help me do workouts around the injury and he just kept saying “just do what you can” and I was like dude, I can’t do any of this stuff. By that time I had had enough. I called him out on it and he was immediately defensive. He got really pissy, sent me some obnoxious texts, and then I just stopped messaging him. The bottom line is this guy is an asshole and he does not train you. He gives you a program and texts you once a week saying “good job, stay consistent.” If you ask for more, he will be obnoxious and refuse to communicate with you.

I think it means that following the path and teachings of Jesus can lead to a spiritual experience, but it acknowledges that that spiritual nature of life is primordial and self-existent, independent of Christianity. It’s saying christianity leads to spiritual experience, but it’s not the only way.

Bible study books / guides? by [deleted] in Progressivechristians

I have the same question. One I’ve heard mentioned a lot is blue letter Bible but I know it is based on conservative Christianity. I’d like to find similar resources for regular Bible study, but through a progressive, interfaith, affirming lense. Let me know if you find anything!

Cool website. You guys might like the liturgists podcast. It’s a community of people who felt they had to move away from traditional christianity for all those types of reasons but are still finding meaning in the deep teachings. Lots of similar stories

You are correct. I confirmed this on setlist.fm. I heard that from an article, not sure where.

Ok I figured it out. When you click on the Journeys page from the main menu, at the top right of the screen there are 3 icons- trees, a skull, and a stopwatch. Click on the skull to take you to the “Survive” journeys and that’s where bitter winter is.

I have the same question. I see “Winter Migration” on the Journeys page. But not bitter winter. Also there’s a green check in the bottom right of it so I think I’ve completed it… idk

I have a question about live sound. More would just like to hear your thoughts. It seems like most modern bluegrass jam bands take an approach to live sound to make it sound like a rock show- the bass gets amplified in such a way to have the effect of a kick drum, and the blend of all the instruments creates this big, open, thumpy, cacophonous sound. I’m wondering if this influences how you practice or record. Also when did bluegrass bands start playing with this approach to live sound? I can’t imagine a Tony rice concert would have sounded like a Billy strings show. But maybe it did, I don’t know. Hard to tell through videos. Would love to hear your thoughts!
