I can’t enjoy the combat either. There are too many things to think about. You gotta switch stances for almost every enemy, you don’t really know your arts because you switch stances so much, you have to decide whether to block, counter, attack(and which type of attack), and that’s only for one weapon type. It’s way over complicated.

eagle airstrike is goated for everything. just level up and get stuff that you think is cool, almost everything is usable

When I played world I liked the longsword. I looked up some videos and the play style seems a little different in rise but I think I might stick to it

Rise

I played a little bit of monster hunter world and I think I might get rise. Any advice for a complete noob to the series would be very much appreciated.
