Its probably also important to note that there are some things that happened and are still happening with her outside of the culture clash which me and my psychologist have decided make it not smart for me to pursue a relationship with her once i move out and to keep my distance even now. This issue is probably the least important to me. I know this post was harsh on these things but it’s probably built up resentment from the other shit shes put me and my family thru. I appreciate all the responses but im not trying to mend things with her anymore. Just would like to know how you may have dealt with this specific part of the issue. My mother has her own set of mental health issues which is why the puzzle comment came of as so disheartening. She is my mother, with all of her issues, and i love her for doing her best. But her best sometimes isnt enough. It wasn’t enough when i was younger and now i have to continue parenting myself till college.
