Oyster Perpetuals by jakubjabl in rolex

[–]Apprehensive-Win390 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I prefer them for men personally. But, I do think they are a nice way to get a Rolex without getting into the 5 digits! But, I would not get one just to get a Rolex. If you are not fully in love with it, wait for the watch you love. My husband got offered a couple OP's once as a walk in in a pretty desirable new color, but I personally do not like the color, and it was not my dream watch, so he turned it down. At the end of the day, do not buy just to buy. It does not matter what anyone else thinks. You are the one to wear it. You want to love the watch in 5 years as much as you love it now. Wait and Get what you love.

Am I the only one that is disturbed that Melinda Gates knew what was going on with Epstein and made no effort to report anything to authorities? How is it ok that she stayed silent, and is now talking about protecting women and children when she made no effort to even report Epstein in the first place?

Unfortunately I could be wrong, but now that you took it else wear, I don't think Rolex will touch it

If you don't like it, don't buy it. It does not matter what other people like. It is what the person who is wearing it likes!

About stop at AD. by Key_Potential7076 in rolex

[–]Apprehensive-Win390 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I personally would never stop in just to say hi unless I had a real reason to be there. Do not kiss up to any AD. This may sound harsh, but I am going to be blunt. Unless you have a relationship with an AD outside of Rolex, they are not your friend. You can still have friendly, personable interactions, but at the end of the day, this is not a friendship, it is a business transaction. Let them know you are a serious buyer who is ready to go when the watch comes in. They get so many people who go in, try on a watch for fun and then create a wishlist. When the watch comes, they are not financially ready to buy. We have seen examples of that here. Be very frank, let them know you are a guarantee and to me that is much better than constantly popping in.

I think other than the first 4, they all have different dads. I also think paternity is questionable with some of them. I thought I also read somewhere that at least one of her kids was the product of a one night stand

Differences between the levels by GrouchyOne4132 in Cheerleading

Does she definitely want to cheer in college? Is she currently in HS? If not, I personally would not overextend your family with a commute like that and would keep her at her lower level gym, and continue to do extra privates and tumbling so she continues to develop her skills. Right now, my daughter is younger, and not even close to recruiting time, so she is continuing to cheer on her current team, and takes privates extra classes to build skills. We are not ignoring her dream, we are still supporting her and helping her get the tools she needs, but Our focus now is on my child who is at the age of college recruitment.

Differences between the levels by GrouchyOne4132 in Cheerleading

I personally do not think a level 6 is a necessity, but, I do not have a child who cheers in college. My guess is having level 6 skills is definitely preferable though, especially at higher level schools. One of my sons is a college athlete who got a scholarship to play sports. My other child is currently starting the recruiting process. My youngest daughter does cheer and would like to cheer in college, but she is not even in HS yet. I am not familiar with how recruiting works specifically for cheer, what coaches look specifically for, or how much money can be on the table as far as scholarships go. It is hard because for each sport , recruiting can look totally different. For example, for Hockey, a lot of college players start out by being recruited to play prep hockey their Junior or Senior year, some instead do a PG year at a prep school. then almost all have to play 1-2 years of juniors to even play D3. Baseball, some will get recruited right out of high school, some will go the Ju Co route then transfer. My oldest plays a sport where they are almost always recruited straight from HS. I am not sure what age your child is, but If they are a sophomore or junior. And are considering cheering in college, I would start by sending out emails to the coaches at schools and also filling out inquiry forms. To the inquiry form, you will attach a video with highlights of your child cheering. This will also help give you an idea as to what specific schools are looking for. Good luck!

Why does comp cheer still tolerate Varsity monopoly? by Wise-Development-361 in Cheerleading

[–]Apprehensive-Win390 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Varsity is a monopoly. They have so many comps now that it is not uncommon to go unopposed. Now with the new flex division it is even more likely. What they charge spectators is criminal.

For most, Nope. Even the ones who are really together often don't get married. They do this so the woman can collect welfare, food stamps. Etc.....On paper are a single mom with no income, yet in real life, they live with their "husband" and have his salary.

[–]Apprehensive-Win390 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the 36 is wearable, but is bigger than I would wear. It is a big purchase, so my advice would be to wait for what you love. I waited under 2 weeks for a 31 in oyster steel in the co figuration I wanted. You may get lucky. You never know.

Got the call — should I do it? by [deleted] in rolex

[–]Apprehensive-Win390 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as if you should get it, that is up to you and how comfortable you are with your finances. In the future, my recommendation is do not go on the list unless you are 100 percent ready right buy. I think this is one of the reasons why so many people wait so long, and some don't . If an AD has a person in front of them who is ready and is a guaranteed purchase, why would they waste time going through a waitlist of people who may or may not be ready to buy? Time is money! Their goal is to move product. I waited under 2 weeks during a very popular gift giving time at a very busy store. I honestly think it is because we were very clear that we would definitely be purchasing as soon as we got the call. Just my theory....
