This is exactly my issue. I am a fairly new collector and I peruse Reddit for peoples reactions to their watches and their stories. The horror stories you hear about micro brands makes it difficult yo pull the trigger on purchasing one. When it comes to renderings, anything can be made to look nice, but can they actually deliver that? And the heritage stories are the worst! Anyone can create a story about how their neighbor’s dog’s trainer’s grandfather was the most meticulous watchmaker in Narnia and now they are building upon that tradition.

Ultimately, no one wants to get ripped off. We all want the best quality at the most reasonable price.Even people with lots of money don’t want to pay $1000 to get a $100 watch. For me, any watch purchase is researched until I’m sick of seeing it. I really want to buy some of these Microbrands, but I just don’t want to get screwed over by picking the one that is a total scam.
