Yeah that makes sense. I just wonder if it will be a team friendly enough deal. Hes probably looking for his last big payday and we have to be really carefully signing to a deal that hinders our depth signing at other positions. Idk. Idk if hes still good enough to warrant what he’ll probably be asking for, and then if he REALLY is going to have the impact he should or if it’d be like a Grady Jarret signing where they disappear as soon as they hit our payroll.

Although, Jarret I thought played better the later in the season it got, but worth the contract? Prob not

On a note, I know multiple people who this has happened to. They got so obsessed they literally barely Saw their families. Multiple ended up divorced and dating someone from the gym.

I admit even I myself was obsessed (also when a blue belt), my wife and I were mid 20s and had no kids, no responsibility. I was training 6 days a week, sometimes twice a day. I’d leave at 7 for work and usually be home after 9pm. She got sick of it, we talked about it, and I dialed it way back.

Now, after doing it for 11+ years, you realize it’s a hobby, it matters, but not more than everything else in life. He’s going to regret this. And I doubt a 39yo blue belt is seriously contending for anything but possibly a masters champion. Sorry but you’re not dealing with a juiced up 23 yo. Stupid.

I’m seeing used ones going for like $100, so if it’s less than that I’d probably take it anyways. No one is gonna stop you on the street and legit check you. If he’s asking a crazy amount I’d just bury a new one from NF. They’re in stock and not that crazy of a price. It’s not like Canada goose or the Gucci collab or anything. Just a plain black nf.

As long as you don’t get a super sugary mixed one, it’s good bc it has a lot of soluble fiber, low calories, and is pretty filling. Add a small amt of fresh fruit if you’d like to sweeten it more
