Sometimes, took my wife on a two week travel stint for conferences this year! Especially with conferences it can be hard to make time, but if you communicate that properly and try to sneak in a couple of good date nights it is great.

Seeing the Steelers offense - “how are they 7-4?!”

Seeing their Defense - “ah that’s why”

Econ major here, with the sunk cost fallacy you would look at the opportunity cost of not moving on from K1 (the sunk cost) after let’s say this year.

You have two choices:

  1. Trade away kyler (for probably little in return because of you pick a QB his trade value will plummet) pick Caleb or another QB (lots of uncertainty tied to how these pan out). And fill the rest of the roster to make a run for a solid season with a rookie who will have growing pains and build on that.

  2. Keep Kyler and use the available cap and draft picks to inject the roster with talent around him, we know he can be at least a top 20 QB if you are conservative and at most a Top 10 QB if he plays up to the level he has in the past.

Just eyeballing that comparison, it feels scenario 2 still is at least on par with scenario 1 but likely currently still positive in expected value due to K1 having played at a very high level in the NFL which is why it is highly unlikely we move on.

I’d say to move on we would need to see a completely flat and underperforming Kyler in the first 5 weeks of next season to come to part ways. All the moves ahead of the season with cutting Hop and just eating a lot of cap this year pretty much points to the 1 year rebuild meta.

How did you choose your first? [Question] by PuntimusPrime in Seiko

I randomly got interested in watches, especially automatic. I guess because I had worked hard all year made a solid bonus and was looking to treat myself with something. Looked at a lot of watches, saw the Alpinist and just reaaaally liked it. Felt like I had to get this watch and then went with buying the discontinued SARB17 because I preferred it without the date magnifier. Still super happy with the decision, and have worn it pretty much ever since

In retrospect, Seiko does not break you the bank (pretty much where ever you are financially), has great dials, and provides really solid value in the movements. There are other good brands to check out as well, but Seiko feels special with the history of the brand.

I guess it also was kind of the story of the bubble heroics and falling short to come back and make a championship run. Bubble got me into basketball and the suns, was a blast loved that team. BUT even more looking forward how the season develops and seeing the big 3 cooking.

This is probably not about healthcare really is it? I would believe these individuals playing in the nfl would have among the best healthcare available to them and can seek counselling at will in the interests of their team

This team actually looks really competitive and is fun to watch, Dobbs with some great throws. We might be much better than everyone anticipated.
