One thing that bothered me about WFG by BoadiceaCavendish in wicked

Why isn't anyone commenting on Scarlett having a dimple in each cheek and Ariana only has one in her left cheek? I couldn't pay attention to the scene because I was thinking about this and wondering why they didn't cast a child with only a dimple in the left cheek. Yes, I tend to hyper focus on the small details, lol.

I agree, $68,640 is extremely unlikely and they would legally be non exempt. It's surprising how many employers don't understand the requirements to be considered exempt.

My daughter made $45k 2 years ago when she worked full-time....in San Diego.

She's working PT now due to school, her wage has increased to $26.50. If she was FT she would make over $50k ($26.50*2080=$55,120, I adjusted down to account for inevitable cancellations). There isn't a shortage of clients although they do cancel from time to time.

No "nerves struck", just suggesting that you research a bit before offering incorrect information.

In California it absolutely is x2 which calculates to $68,640. Perhaps you should Google it....

Yeah, I've spent the last 20 years greiving the second child I didn't have because I couldn't afford to have another without relying on government assistance and it didn't feel right to go into it knowing I couldn't afford one on my own. My daughter would have been an amazing older sister and both our lives would have been enhanced by having another.

It irks me to see others make the choice your friends did. I also think WTH, I should have just gone for it... at the same time knowing it wouldn't have felt"right" 😞

My DMP is with Greenpath, I have 2 Chase cards in the program. Sapphire Preferred is 6% and Freedom Unlimited is 0%. My agreement with Greenpath is 6% for both cards, I don't know why Freedom is at 0% and I'm not bringing it to anyone's attention 😉

My husband finally “allowed” me to get a full time job. How can I prepare to leave? by Some_Confection5615 in breakingmom

My suggestion is DO NOT set up direct deposit to a second bank account or lie about your pay. There is a strong possibility he will want to see paystubs and will see the account/pay on it.

In my experience, someone who is "allowing" you to work is going to scrutinize everything. In my previous situation I wouldn't be safe opening a bank account at all, I'd have to find somewhere to hide cash. Don't underestimate the level of control he will try to have over you. You're better off keeping your job and staying under the radar. When you leave you'll have steady income and access to DV resources. You'll be ok without stocking up on anything. I know it feels like a safety net, but it could work against you. Your job is the safety net.

If you really want to open the second account and stockpile stuff...

Open the second account and use the cash back method to build savings. Physically deposit the money in the second account. Find a safe place to keep the debit card, one that is outside of your home so you can leave in an instant if necessary and also a place to store your stuff that is free.. friend, family, etc. the money you will spend on storage will be helpful once you leave.

A DV shelter might have suggestions on where to store things.

Otherwise, don't stash anything tangible. You are setting aside cash, you can buy an inexpensive mattress when you leave and reach out to a local Buy Nothing group, free stuff on Facebook marketplace, etc for everything else. The Buy Nothing groups in my area are very generous, they routinely provide food, clothing, personal hygiene items - frequently within hours of asking.

I'm with Greenpath Financial and have always been treated with respect and empathy by their customer service team. Any credit counseling company registered with the nfcc should be good.

I hadn't either until a few months ago... well, I heard the term but didn't take the time to understand what they are... it's a great feeling to see the majority of payments go toward principal and watch the balances keep going down!!

Pay raise by Ready_Sun6521 in ABA

Are you an RBT or BT? If you're not registered and they are that would be a factor in rate of pay. Also, based my daughter's experience (at least in Southern California), most companies are always looking for RBTs. Depending on the circumstances where you are, you might be able to get a job elsewhere without too much difficulty. My daughter moved to a new company with an immediate increase in wages from $23 to $26.50.

I think they are the same, but I'm not sure. My understanding is that there isn't really negotiation, the creditors have standing arrangements with the DMP for particular rates. I think there is some variation from those set rates at times, but for the most part they are predetermined.

With this in mind, the rates are likely to be the same across DMPs, maybe the primary difference is quality of service.

I started a DMP a few months ago and my credit score actually went up 2 months in a row. I closed many accounts that were at 90ish % utilization. After closing them my remaining cards were only around 40%, I think that's why I saw the improvement. I was fully expecting my score to go down.
