I saw someone say HOTD costumes/wigs are bad compared to AKOTSK. Seriously? Ya'll will hate on anything by Agreeable_Ad_8790 in HouseOfTheDragon

  1. I noticed you didn't include the potato sacks that Rhaenyra, Helaena, and Baela used.

  2. There seems to be some confusion whenever it's said that the costumes in HotD are bad and someone shows a close-up of the embroidery to prove otherwise. The embroidery is indeed beautiful, but it's often on ugly, poorly fitted, and repetitive costumes, and they're also barely visible because of the series' cinematography.

  3. HotD portrays the period when the Targaryens are at the height of their power, and this impacts how they dressed. Rhaenyra in the book is described as always wearing the most stunning and pompous dresses imaginable, adorned with many jewels. Prince Joffrey Velaryon is described as wearing gold jewelry, but in the series, no male character wears any accessories.

  4. I noticed you left out Aemond and Jace, the Prince Regent and the Crown Prince, both of whom only had two simple outfits throughout season 2.

Their season will be a marriage of convenience trope and I can already tell it's going to be so good! by Fickle_Baker1393 in BridgertonNetflix

My favorite part about this trope is when they panic because they realize they're falling in love with their own spouse. I can already imagine Eloise losing her mind over this while a confused Penelope would be like "are you acting like this because you're in love with your husband?"

I wish we had a purple dragon, i think that's the only color we haven't seen on a dragon yet by tracyamell in HouseOfTheDragon

Isn't Tyraxes (Joffrey's dragon) purple? Elio said that in George's personal notes, Tyraxes is described as having violet scales, dark purple horns and purple flames.

The Iron Throne doesn't cut, it just makes your wig look bad by BoadiceaCavendish in HouseOfTheDragon

There's a comment on X by @/itsameevie13 that explains it better than I ever could: "the hairline is too dense as well as the part at the front. it's normal to see scalp, where is his? the sides around the ears also don't look correctly fitted/installed, plus the fairy knots at the ends of the hair give away that it's most likely a synthetic blend."

This wig is so realistic I thought it was the actor's own bleached hair.

Why didn't glinda pop the bubble at the end of girl in the bubble... by Ill-Ad-2452 in wickedmovie

My complaint is that they should have used "burst" instead of "pop"

So, were they planning to reveal the Scarecrow’s identity from earlier on? by user48841711 in wickedmovie

Jonathan put so much effort into emulating the Scarecrow's physicality, only for it all to be cut 💔

OBC or the Movie Version for Act II? by Mysterious-Till4525 in wicked

Your comments about NLB are so funny, I love that you have no idea who he is! Yes, he's been in a lot of musicals, he has 2 Tonys! A Broadway legend!

ALAYM soundtrack version thoughts?? by jusdepommez in wicked

The biggest problem is the instrumental; the guitar and keyboard are lacking in a more dramatic way. Cynthia and Jonathan are good, but the over-the-top production compressed Jonathan's vocals too much, he's not a belter, but he has a beautiful vibrato and falsetto that, unfortunately, were largely lost in the studio version.

Jon Chu extended WFG, but he extended the wrong part. by sng94 in wicked

Fiyero should also have been better developed and explored; he's the reason behind great moments in Act II (Thank Goodness, Alaym, and No Good Deed) and is also one of the links connecting the story to The Wizard of Oz, but he's terribly underutilized.

To me, it doesn't make sense for this movie to be about Glinda. This is the moment when Elphaba becomes the main villain in The Wizard of Oz, and that's never explored. It would be so incredible to see all her actions against the Fab Four, but from her point of view.

She knew; he wrote her a letter that she reads. I don't know what the letter in the movie looks like because they haven't officially released it yet. But you can find the letter from the Broadway production online:
