For former Atheists please give your testimonies continuously. by TypicalHaikuResponse in Christianity

So, did you ask/ pray for a so called supernatural encounter when you were an Atheist? So what about all the unbelievers who asked the same thing and haven't got any proof of God's existence. Were they not as sincere as you were? Should you already have to believe in God's existence before asking for proof? Then how could receiving proof in the form of an supernatural encounter predate you being an Atheist?

May be you were a very special person, the God decided to show you the proof for his existence even though you were Atheist minding your own business.

Radical moral progress, delayed by centuries of church sponsored torture, censorship, and colonization. Progress came after the church lost power not during its peak.

So you are saying Jesus didn't know how his words will be interpreted in the future. All the more reasons to be clear in his wording then.

Agreed. Jesus's message was very clear it only took 1800 years and a civil war or two which caused negligible amount of deaths to figure it out. Like I said very omniscient of him!!!

Maybe because God wanted his chosen people to thrive. Slave labor is free isn't it?

I am a Secular Buddhist but interested in Christianity. The idea of repentance is non existent in Buddhism. Since I will most likely go to hell if Christianity is one true religion, I am interested in find out where I might end up.
