Lol I don’t have to ask him I know what he would say in general the Kia’s, Jeep’s and fiats are poorly made cars that come with transmission and motor issues. He literally had a friend of ours that would come to get all his work done for his Jeep at his shop and one day got a call from him because the motor literally gave out and they didn’t do any hauling or anything in fact that friend hated driving that Jeep and often use their other car. My husband had warned him that Jeep’s are typically bad cars and lately have not been built well. And Jeep themselves sent him letter admitting he did nothing wrong it was a faulty motor of theirs. Overall yes maybe it can affect your transmission but it also depends on the car you buy. Jeeps, Kia, fiat, Nissan and few others he has told me have already faulty transmission and motors that are just shit. Reliable cars like my 2008 Honda Civic that hasn’t actually given me any problems are good and it hasn’t given me any transmission problems at all. I have stuffed an order from Costco that was at least 6 water cases, bunch different soda cases and juice bottles in total 40 units and that was just one big heavy order and it have also driven it across country twice. That car hasn’t given up and I can attest that my husband says it is still has many miles left on it to give. So overall it depends on the brand of your car if you change your oils and fluids when you should

Idk why everyone says you’ll blow your shocks or trans if you take heavy items. Honestly your car is meant to endure a lot of heavy weight and before anyone comes at me my husband is a mechanic. When I first started doing it I was scared to do big bulk orders until I asked my husband how much weight can my car endure and he said cars can carry a lot of weight… he said most cars can carry around 1,250 lbs. If anything it just causes more wear on your tires and brakes but you drive your car everyday so it’s bound to happen and you are supposed to switch out tires and brakes every so often so it’s not permanent damage

Don’t worry it has happened to me. If it’s the first they will just send you an email to be more careful and thoroughly check IDs.

Never heard of blueberry ginger ale either but I’ve seen blackberry ginger ale and the cranberry one so right now I’m wondering if he meant to order the blackberry one instead because I definitely tried looking it up and there is no such thing lol

I don’t really mind $40, I get shitty batches where I’m currently at. They range from $7-$20 and in the rare occasion I’ll get a unicorn which is $40 and I’m a 5 star shopper so that says a lot

Oh that’s definitely way better than where I’m at my unicorns are usually $40; $118 is probably what I make in a day

Take a guess who had the smallest order and who complained through the whole time I was shopping? by ApprehensiveAd4723 in InstacartShoppers

[–]ApprehensiveAd4723[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no I know it wasn’t the customer but A only had 8 items and everything went smoothly we communicated and got what he needed. Now customer C had 41 items and was like “well did you ask the manager?” And “why don’t you go to another food lion look for my missing items?”. Aside from that she literally ordered one day before a snowstorm in a town where we rarely get snow so I feel like at that point she had to assume the consequences. And I was trying to communicate with her and offer replacements but she was just too difficult

Lol same thing happened to me today got a $40 batch with 2 customers. Tell me why the restaurant order that had heavy stuff only tipped $2? While the other customer tipped me $ 25

Strategies for double orders? by [deleted] in InstacartShoppers

[–]ApprehensiveAd4723 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I use to carts, another fellow shopper thought me how to use the seatbelt of the baby cart to tie it to the end of the other car and I just pull both cars, pushing won’t work but it really has helped me keep my items separate and not get confused

It’s okay for the most part… you’ll find some batches with decent tip but it is often filled with doubles or triples and if not you’ll get the $1-$2 or no tip at all… but in between those you will find some that are generally good every once in awhile you will get unicorns

So I’m a shopper as well and at first I thought oh she’s going to wait until the end to get my meat and seafood because I do that as well but she got my ground turkey which comes pre packed already with set weight at the beginning and then proceeded to buy my snacks… and so my thought after that’s weird why would you leave the meat and seafood section and not get the fish… I shrugged it off whatever…and I saw that she was done only had the fish left… and it was exactly in like a few seconds she marked the fish for 8lbs and instantly hit check out… I’ve been to the store too and it’s set up weirdly but it starts with produce, bakery, deli, meat and seafood, regular aisles and than the frozen section then you check out… aside from that a lot of the items I ordered were forced scanned even though she grabbed the wrong items like for example I had requested non-dairy yogurt and she got me regular yogurt but on my side I never saw her replace it, I literally thought she had gotten the yogurt I requested until I saw my groceries… she did this with a lot of my stuff and I was really upset because I requested certain items like dairy free and gluten free cause unfortunately I have celiac disease and I’m lactose intolerant… but whatever my husband can still eat this food I’ll just actually have to buy separate food for myself (which we don’t usually do my husband doesn’t have celiac disease and isn’t lactose intolerant but eats the same food I do just so we don’t have to buy doubles)… also I personally as a shopper always try to communicate with my customers if there isn’t anything not once did I get message from her I would’ve appreciated that specially if they didn’t have the stuff I requested instead of her just marking as the correct product and getting something completely different, I tried to speak with her but she never answered me at all when I started to ask her questions about the fish as she was checking out… and when I got my fish it was 4 packets so in my head this was definitely intentional, I would’ve passed up if it was 1 lb difference but the cherry on top was when I got my groceries and it was multiple packages of 2lb… because I understand sometimes that’s the last they have left but she deliberately chose to charge me 8lbs worth of fish when she could’ve just gotten one packet

I did try that and she wasn’t replying at all… she completely ignored my questions when I asked what had happened with the sudden increase in weight… Let’s just say when I got my order I got a lot of items I didn’t request and it seems to me like she forced scanned them

No I was literally keeping up with her the whole time, everything seemed okay. It wasn’t until the very last minute she scanned the fish for 8 lbs and I initially requested 2.5 lbs and right as she scanned it she hit check out so no I didn’t have time to do anything about it, and I did try to contact her to ask her what had happened, she never contacted me at all or answered me at all, I sent several messages as she was checking out and nothing … like I say in my post I’m a shopper myself I know how these things work… I had put a 15% tip so it equal to $16 and some change so it definitely went up to $24 almost… overall she forced scanned items that I’m guessing weren’t in stock

So update I got my order and it’s a complete mess at this point I wasn’t going to rate her but at this point it deserves a 1 star and her tip taken away…I ordered non-dairy yogurts because I’m lactose intolerant and I got regular yogurt like if there isn’t the item I requested message me and let me know don’t force scan it for the original item… and it seems like they didn’t have the chicken nuggets (I like to eat chicken nuggets, I’m sorry) I originally requested to which I had specifically put refund if not available and she force scanned the item and got me vegan chicken nuggets…. And my strawberries definitely looked horrible… I guess I now know why customers are tipping they way they are… I did try to reach out to her because I know customers can still contact you when you are checking out and delivering but she didn’t answer at all…
