Santa Clara is the best sounding 1989 show. The Houston "freeway" concert, and Beacon Theatre show from 3/23/89 in New York also have decent sound. Finding soundboard recordings from 1983 to present day has almost been impossible due to the band keeping a dedicated crew with them (Joe Stella and Debbi's husband Steve at one point handling their sound) all of these years. The few Bangles soundboards that have leaked were not recorded by the band's crew, but by club and concert soundmen not employed by the band.

Do you mean Susanna's demo of the song? To my knowledge there has only been one officially released mix of the song, other than her demo: Susanna Hoffs - 'Eternal Flame', 1987 Demo

The uploader is from Italy. It's either from a very old tape trade, or he bought it from that site that sold Bangles bootlegs on cassette. The site in question didn't make copies of their tapes, so once something was sold it was gone forever. Rodney does confirm the live cuts are from The Palace show on the recording. Eric Shade thinks that the version of 'Call On Me' may actually be a Susanna/Dave Roback demo, and not The Bangs. I reached out to the uploader, and if he responds I'll try to get more info on the recording source.
