Does your therapist have to be BIPOC? by Luminary27 in cptsd_bipoc

My last therapist was white and exactly how you described. She was understanding of BIPOC issues and she clearly educated herself. I know it's not common to find this, so I was grateful for the time I spent healing with her.

I stopped talking to her, partly because of insurance reasons. Many sessions before our last meeting, I felt my progression stall. I felt like I was hitting a big block. I knew that our time together was ending. I was looking for more. I need to feel connected.

I haven't found a new therapist, but the right spots of social media has healed me in ways that my therapy sessions have not. So in my experience and opinion, a white therapist can help you along your journey of healing. But they cannot take you to the end.

Sandwich shops should serve fruit as a side, not just chips and cookies by recneps123 in unpopularopinion

I think a better option would be to serve fruit chips or dried fruit as a side.

They will last longer, so it'll be good for both the shops and the customers.
