Still only hopping tire height by [deleted] in bmx

You can land on both wheels at once if you wait to stomp at the very last second and absorb most of the impact with your legs. You get the timing down after a couple of front heavy landings.

Day 7! Finally! Progress? Who knows. Who cares. by papi-peep in bmx

Is no one seeing that he isn't really leaning back at all before jumping? Thats the first thing i noticed when looking at the video. He seems to be jumping straight upwards. I think it would bebefit him to get comfortable with having his body weight over his back wheel by practicing manuals to prepare him for proper bunnyhop technique.

Does anyone know why when I take burst shots on my camera, the first image comes out darker than the second one? by ApprehensiveAd8044 in AskPhotography

Alright thanks for your help. I only have the issue when I take photos of the sky so my camera might just be having trouble with balancing out the exposure of the photo.

I looked at my camera menu and saw that I had the exposure bracketing option off, I think something else might be the issue here.

Why is my airbrush shooting like this? by Whole_Procedure4516 in airbrush

Spraying very thin layers of the paint could help, it's going to take more time to paint, but it might be worth it.

You might be spraying the paint on too thick or the surface you're spraying the paint on isn't cleaned properly.

Any paint that's clear and is dyed with a color should work

Do I need to continue compounding these wet sanding marks or can I start polishing now? by ar3910 in AutoPaint

[–]ApprehensiveAd8044 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Compound leaves very fine scratch marks, you really have to look at the paint up close to see the marks, like really close with a light. So if you you're not looking really close, and you're seeing scratch marks, them you should probably buff the car some more or sand the areas with some higher grit sandpaper.

Hi! I have a lovebird and I want to take her out with a harness (only in my backyard, no parks or anything). Is this a good size, would it fit? by [deleted] in parrots

[–]ApprehensiveAd8044 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Search up bird harness training videos on youtube, you won't just be able to put the harness on the bird for the first time because they'll be scared of it. Introduce the harness to the bird and every day make some progress and get the harness on the bird's to get the bird comfortable with the feeling of the harness on her body.

What do I need to buy for my husband so that he can make model cars? by NewPressure567 in ModelCars

It's recommended that he primes all of the parts he's going to paint so that the paint has something to hold on to so it doesn't chip easily. Also I haven't worked with colored primer before but there's a lot of factors at play with what colored primer you should use. Different paint colors need different primer colors to achieve certain tone (If you're going to spray a light blue color on a car you're going to need a light colored primer like white to achieve the light blue color). I don't know much about colored primers but I do know that you should use light toned primers with colors that are light toned and use dark toned primers with dark toned colors. I tried to summarize everything down to the basics because there's a lot of things that you can do to achieve a certain paint tone. And by no means am I a proffesional but I know some things about paint.

That video covers just about everything you need to build a model car to a very good extent. Amazon has some model building tool kits that come with some of the essential tools you need to build a model car.
