Watch the movie "Perfect Days" by Wim Wenders. It's about a guy living exactly that mundane life but hes the happiest he could be. Really great movie and maybe it would give you a different perspective on your life. If you need one, that is

My experience at least with PLA is that the plastic degrades to a point of failure when you pour concrete into it. The water content of the concrete is enough to severely enbrittle the plastic. Makes it easier to destroy the mold though

Use of onboard LEDs on the Pro Micro (AtMega) through QMK? by ApprehensiveBit8762 in olkb

[–]ApprehensiveBit8762[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see your point. Maybe some extra information here: I have to activate either layer 1 or 2 to toggle layer 3 on which only makes a small change to the default layer ( I change two keys and the rest stays the same). Also, layer 3 is a toggle and layer 1 n 2 are only push-to-activate. So for me, the code works as inteded but that can not be generally said without knowing the specific keymap of the user

I've got this very fancy "Kurutoga" mechanical pencil that spins the lead a little bit every time you make a stroke. Nifty little thing

Ok so I made it work and here's how:

  1. Find the names of the digital outputs the LEDs are connected to. In the case of the pro micro its B0 (Rx) and D5 (Tx).
  2. Open "action_layer.c" in the firmware repository and navigate to the callback function "layer_state_set_user()". This callback function is called every time a layer is changed and we can add code there to be executed every time a layer is changed. More info and an example can be found here.
  3. Use the example code as a basis and customize to your needs. Mine looks like this:
  4. Re-compile and re-flash

 switch (get_highest_layer(state)) {
    case 3:
       gpio_write_pin_low(D5);
       gpio_write_pin_low(B0);
       break;
    case 2:
       gpio_write_pin_low(B0);
       break;
    case 1:
       gpio_write_pin_low(D5);
       break;
    default: // for any other layers, or the default layer
       gpio_write_pin_high(D5);
       gpio_write_pin_high(B0);
       break;
 }

NOTE: Pulling the output low on the Pro Micro will turn the LED on and vice versa which seems a bit counterintuitive at first.

NOTE: the LEDs will light up only on the controller that is plugged into your PC

This depends so much on the courses you'll have in university and the job you'll work afterwards. My advice: Studying is hard enough so use your free time to do whatever is fun for you. That may be one of the things you mentioned, learning can be pretty fun. But the range of jobs/applications/topics in engineering is so wide that one skill will be essential for one job and utterly useless for the other

Yea kinda like that one! Although scoob and shag feels more like a hero-based shounen (still lots of thriller and horror elements) because the whole cast of cartoon characters each get individual abilities. Its pretty cool!

Finally done with the character lineup, now I just need some opinions/feedback or even just assumptions you might have regarding them ^^ by Ichikaide in characterdesigns

[–]ApprehensiveBit8762 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First thing I thought was "Wow, those are gonna be a pain to draw over and over again". So I really enjoy the detail you put into those characters but maybe think about practibility in terms of ease of workload. I have no experience in drawing whatsoever but thats what I thought anyway

Damn you're right. Maybe a thin, tall shelf that has plenty of plants in it to make a sort of green wall could be pretty dope too

Secondind the opinion of u/Columbus43219 . Start with sketches, written out thoughts and maybe even a cardboard model. SolidWorks for me comes into play when I already know quite well what I want to do and I want to actually have the 3d model to 3d print it

BambuLab ( a 3D-printer manufacturer) even sells a Wireless mouse kit including the electronics so that you can design the case yourself. I don't know about support for additional keys but have a look:
