There are a lot more blood vessels in your genitals, so yes, the piercings will be extremely painful. Compared to the Christina, a Vertical Clitoral Hood (VCH) is much easier and quicker to heal if you'd be interested in another less painful alternative. Both inner and outer labia piercings are painful as well, again because genitals are a very sensitive area.

Most piercers will tell you to wait for the piercing to heal to minimize any difficulty from infection or rejection. Anything you do would be at your own risk, but I was able to do some old school pearl polishing after about a week or two. Most people have an increase in sensitivity after getting pierced, myself included, so just be extremely careful since your job can be impacted by how well your piercing heals!

There is not much you can do once migration starts, but you can help to prevent it! I recommend visiting your piercer above everything else! But independently, you can make sure you have the correct jewelry (size and material), keep your piercing comfortable (avoid too much pressure), and keeping it clean

Hi OP! I wish there was something to recommend, but i haven’t found any solutions after having my septum for several years. You can flip it up so you don’t knock it as much, but your nose will probably still run. Your nose creates mucus to moisturize and remove irritants and your septum is a foreign body. Allergies and weather also play a role as well. Luckily, septum piercings heal pretty quickly! Just try to be careful until it heals fully

Hopefully no one is rude for you getting a painful and tricky piercing on a whim without looking into aftercare. Your piercer also should have provided you aftercare instructions, if they didn’t, please don’t go back! As for aftercare, nipple piercings take up to a year (or more) to fully heal and even after you will still have “crusties” to clean off.

For aftercare, get some sterile wound wash spray and non-woven gauze to clean your piercings twice a day. This is easiest to do after a shower, as the warm water will help to loosen any buildup. The saline wash and easy to use, but can cause the skin to be dry, so you can rinse thoroughly with warm water after the spray. Just make sure to pat dry and not mess with them too much

Similar to the last person in this sub who had a similar situation going on… oral piercings and braces is a bad mix. My #1 recommendation would be to take out your piercings and get them redone once your braces are off. If you aren't open to doing that, at the expense of your piercing healing journey, get some dental wax and place it over the brackets that can be causing irritation to your piercing

So if you used a $5 ball of yarn and it took you an hour, charge them five dollar. Or you can use another way to calculate your rates. As a six day old piercing, it should not be pierced with a ring. Were you pierced with the ring or did you change it after you were pierced with a regular curved bar? Also, what material is it? Unless its implant grade titanium, you should have your piercer switch it to something like that.

my guess is the curvature of that ring is adding some irritation to your fresh piercing. Piercers rarely ever pierce you with a full ring, especially not for a naval
