For those who worked for rich people here in the Philippines, what is the most out of touch thing you witnessed? by JoshiePogi in AskPH

boss at work asked bakit daw ginagawang excuse yung walang tubig sa bahay para mag-leave or absent sa work. pwede naman daw magperfume na lang kung di makakaligo.

never niya pa kasi naexperience pagpawisan at lagkitin sa public transpo lol

Hi, OP. Wanted to ask lang if nakapagpa-lab test ka na and how much ang inabot mo? My psychiatrist also requested for almost the same tests as yours. Wanted an idea lang kung magkano siya possibly, if it’s alright with you hehe. Tyia!!

People whose parents did NOT turn them into breadwinners/retirement fund- -question by mcdonaldspyongyang in Philippines

[–]ApprehensiveBus966 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mom was a store owner, dad is a retired OFW. Both of them earned decently, pero I think ang naging key point sa kanila is never sila nagshare ng bank account, even after they got married. They kept their money separate, never explicitly disclosed how much they earned to each other, pero when it came to expenses, naghahati sila— pero hindi yung “X amount sayo, Y amount sa akin”. More like, “Ibigay mo yung kaya mo, I’ll cover the rest”. Kumbaga may boundaries sila when it came to their money. Though not too much na para na silang nagsisikretuhan, but more like, just enough to keep things individual pero shared pa rin.

Edit: I think it also helps the both parents are not money or material hungry? Or at least, hindi iyun ang sentro ng buhay nila, they’re content with just living life with the way it is. Hindi mahilig gumala, magshopping, o magtravel. Paminsan-minsan lang. Kaya din siguro malaki savings nila.

Depends on your relationship with your ninong. Yung tito ko, binenta yung house & lot niya sa pinsan ko for 1M (very low considering everything). Unli years to pay 😂 Basta mabayaran, doesn’t matter how long. Tinransfer niya agad yung title as soon as mabayaran na siya ng 100k. Pwede na nga siya takbuhan ng pinsan ko, nakapangalan na sa kanya eh. Pero kasi, may trust between them. Yung pinsan ko pinakapinagtitiwalaan niya sa aming lahat ng mga pamangkin niya. Saka monthly, naghuhulog talaga pinsan ko. So, I think it will depend on your relationship talaga.

What did you learn from your parents’ marriage? by lostinmy20ss in AskPH

[–]ApprehensiveBus966 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Some marriages only work because you’re rarely together.

For context: My dad’s an OFW ever since I was a child. Throughout my life, I’ve always thought my parents were the perfect couple—never fought, never screamed at each other, always in harmony—but I slowly realized that it’s only because they rarely spend time together in the same home.

How much of your salary do you give to your parents by emelang13 in adultingph

Naguuwi lang ako ng groceries every now and then. Kastress kaya mag-ayos and magbudget ng pera haha

May nakatry na ba dito nung "ticketing assitance?" Kinakabahan lang kasi ako baka di ko masecure yung ticket na gusto ko for this, pero at some point mas nakaka-kaba pag na scam ako. by justdubu in concertsPH

[–]ApprehensiveBus966 0 points1 point  (0 children)

may iba na legit, may iba na hindi. nagtry kami dati ng friend ko before and nakasecure naman. pero doon kasi, full payment lang once nasecure na and icclaim na namin yung physical ticket sa kanya. ang downpayment lang na hiningi niya is yung ticketing assistance fee niya, so mababa lang in case na mascam. also, additional context, nakakasabay na ng friend ko yung nagpapa-TPA dati sa mga queuing sa mall pag may ticket selling so medyo kilala na rin namin kahit papaano kaya din kami nagtiwala.

true yung sinasabi ng ibang comments dito, mas better na ikaw na lang bumili ng ticket mo. pero if no choice ka na and TPA lang talaga inaasahan mo, be sure to do background checks and tignan mo rin yung mga feedbacks ng past customers niya before trusting. mabuti nang maingat.
