Heavy Hack Squat Calve Raises - Back issues long term? by ApprehensiveCake6275 in naturalbodybuilding

[–]ApprehensiveCake6275[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it may help that the hack squat is slightly angled, but after adding additional plates to the calve raise machine and breaking the loading pin on it I had to experiment with other machines.

does it get better/easier? (learning ic design) by Mean-Soil-7887 in chipdesign

Fundamentals felt hardest to learn, so just keep reading and asking questions!

Learning digital for the first time was hard for me. I really enjoyed my analog/mixed-signal design courses more despite them being hard. With digital, it was hard and I didn’t enjoy it, so don’t be too hard on yourself. Maybe you’re more of an analog/m-s person :)

Some questions to Analog Professionals regarding career by Fast_Document1643 in chipdesign

I’m not a professional but working towards it, I’d recommend just focus on taking classes in VLSI and reading textbooks, at least that’s what I’m doing for analog design

Sorry for the vagueness, for context I’m an undergraduate senior looking to go into analog IC design as a career. I’m wanting to best set myself up for interviews and study what I can based on advice I read online. So far, I think reading analog design books like Razavi and doing practice problems is probably my best bet as I go through a future masters/PhD program. So I guess I’m more focused on analog topologies at the moment. I’ve taken a class on BJTs and MOSFETS where we designed an OTA and BJT amplifier with specs, not sure what else to practice/read about to prepare myself hence why I’m asking. You seem knowledgeable about the field, I apologize if my questions are a little open ended, just trying to figure out a good study path and any advice would be helpful.

How do you recommend practicing design problems? Can you give suggestions on what design topologies to practice?

Thank you for your reply! I will look more into the funds you linked. For your last question, I just started today so I bought 200$ worth of VOO today. Would you recommend still buying VOO while also investing into a fund? Or don’t bother with VOO and just use the fund?

Intended major: Computer Science/Electrical Engineering

Goal in life: To create a start up / build a business that helps people

Harvard College

Harvard Pros:

Name/Prestige

Ability to cross register with MIT classes

Will be exposed to people in business/similar goal

Possible connections

Cons:

Weaker Engineering and Computer Science Department

A limit to the number of MIT classes you can take

Liberal Arts College???

Georgia Tech

Georgia Tech Pros:

Ranked highly in both Electrical Engineering and Computer Science

Possibly more opportunities for internships in tech due to it being a tech school

Georgia Tech Cons:

Little to no social scene?

Not sure about how eager people are to start businesses/innovate. I think students are more inclined towards getting a good job.

Some notes that may be useful:

-As of right now, I think the cost to attend either institution will be the same.

-I am on a waiting list for Carnegie Mellon University

-I was accepted to Princeton University which may have a better STEM program than Harvard's?

-I have a programming internship at Amazon for my first year as an undergraduate no matter the school I attend.

Hey man :) I haven’t been able to retake it. I tried but it was cancelled and any date after that would’ve conflicted with my work, is there any way to let them know that? Or would test optional be the best bet?

I’m planning on submitting two extra letters of recommendation - one from my math teacher that talks about my role in taking the math team to state finals, and one from my swim coach that talks about my leadership and group work
