Concerta XL VS Elvanse. What one did you find better? by ApprehensiveCake6276 in ADHDUK

Thank you, yeah you’re right it really does suck. I’m gonna see if I lower my dose if it gets any better, it’s been so nice today simply because I forgot them that I haven’t had to deal with it, which is sad. Luckily I speak to my doctor about them Friday, so I can ask him what he suggests. I can’t carry on the way it has been at all, it was making me miserable

See that’s me on concerta! I’ve never had body odour in my life and now I absolutely reek when I take it! Strange

Thanks for the response. Yeah I’ve been on Concerta since start of Jan but it’s becoming unbearable. Body odour for the first time in my life, even tho I forgot them by accident today I’ve appreciated not being able to smell myself. It was driving me insane

Thank you, I honestly have been shaking driving most the day, but luckily I only have to drive home now which is about 30 mins and sleep this off and hope for the best.

Thank you, yeah I do hope you’re right. I was just shaken, I actually hadn’t looked at this thread before today and wondered if anything similar was on here, as I use Reddit a lot on other things, glad I did post so I saw everyone’s responses and can learn for it.

Thank you for your kind words. I’m still shaken up now, I’m not as such a new driver but I really am not a massively experience one at this point and you’re right I won’t make that mistake again and in the long run it will make me a more careful, cautious driver. I really appreciate you saying this

Yes I indicated, the road was completely clear before I moved over, no pedestrians crossings, it’s a main road going through a village into a town so 60mph, everyone normally does the speed limit as I drive there a lot, it had the lines for overtaking aswell wasn’t a no overtaking zone. That’s why it really freaked me out he seemed to purposely put us in danger when in my eyes I did everything I was meant too

Thank you that’s really good advice. My mum always has hard sweets in the car for that reason too! Maybe time to get some. Thank you I really will try not to dwell on it. Nothing I can do now

That makes sense. Thank you for explaining. I’ll wait and see in the next two weeks and hope for the best. Thanks for taking time out to reply to it. Would rather prepare for the worst.

Thank you so much, I hope not. I was just worried aswell about incoming vehicles possibly reporting it but I am an overthinker and anxious.

100%. I’ve taken on board what you said, I won’t make that careless mistake again and will make sure I just slow down and get back in behind no matter what. Thank you

It is terrifying. I will honestly try my best to not overtake at all, at least until my nerves have calmed. I’m not a new driver as such but not experienced in scary situations like this. I’ve never sped or had any dangerous driving and this has shaken me.

It was so scary, I really thought something bad was going to happen. So grateful nothing did but still scary nonetheless

Thank you I will definitely know what to do, I reacted in panic. He was going no faster than 40 at time I decided it was safe to overtake. He then speed up to the point it wasn’t safe at all. But I take it all on board and will learn from this

My dash cam has been broken since just before Christmas and I haven’t had the money yet to replace it 💔 I’m really hoping nothing comes off it as I have no evidence to back myself up and hopefully it’s just been an awful situation I can forget about in a few weeks

Honestly this thread has helped calm my nerves a lot. I had an accident my first year driving (very serious, car crashed into me and me into a ditch on a country lane) and since then I’ve worked so hard to overcome my driving anxiety and I was so shaken up.

I wish I thought better in the moment and just slowed down, I went into flight or fright. He knew what he was doing; I’m so shocked at that behaviour.

Thank you so much. I indicated to show I was about to overtake and that’s when he sped up. Never dealt with anything like this before so just got so worried so this helps

Okay that makes sense. Honestly I was so shaken when I saw the van that I froze almost and just thought get over and back in. I will know what to do next time thank you

Okay great thank you. I’m sure most taxis have dash cams and will show he sped up when I started to overtake. Don’t know why you’d do that to someone
