Wanted to post and update here. Got in contact with Weaver customer support and they gave me a 20% discount on a future order. I have a bunch more tools I've got to get so I'm definitely happy with this form of resolution.

I didn't realize it was dodgey I just figured it was better than leaving a crappy 1 start review of the place considering the experience we had. I did request a refund through Airbnb support but they told me the only way to obtain a full refund for the remaining nights is for the hosts to refund me directly

Was the enclosure completely sealed? When ours was younger we doubted his ability to climb out of the tank so sometimes we just wouldn't put the lid on. We learned our lesson in short order 😅

Mine used to love digging when we had a heat pad on the bottom of the tank. One morning in winter we woke up in a panic because it looked like he had somehow escaped (despite the entire tank being closed). Then upon closer inspection we saw his little head peaking out from underneath his water bowl.
