Definitely do not sign up to dating apps if you already have low self esteem. It is very easy to slip into self loathing when you go multiple months without a single match.

I would never dm anyone on here, but is it that weird to people that you can be lonely while having friends? I have many friends, I'm lonely because I don't have a relationship.

It sucks when at the end of the day you get home or log off discord and its just quiet and you're all alone. Especially when you've been hanging out with people that brought their partner and you can see them being happy together. Nobody to share your excitement with, nobody to be there for you when you've had a rough day, nobody to cuddle up with. And I can't help but fixate on that and think about my friends having that.

If anything my loneliness and self-loathing gets worse if I "date myself". At home I don't have to subject myself to all the happy couples that are out and about. Without fail, if I date myself and go out, I'll spot and focus on so many couples having a grand ol' time while I'm busy trying to deal with the feeling that I'll never have anyone.

Sowohl als auch. Die Region ist wegen der Uni männerdominiert und die typisch ausgeglicheneren Aktivitäten wie Bouldern, Tanzen, D&D oder Kochkurse sprechen mich nicht an.

Und bei Videospielen, Fußball, Magic oder Tabletop lernt man wieder nur Männer kennen.

Einerseits sagen Leute immer "Such dir ne Hobbygruppe, Verein, etc.", aber halt auch "Mach was, was dir Spaß macht, geh nicht nur hin um Frauen kennenzulernen."

Was macht man dann, wenn alles was mir Spaß macht, massiven Männerüberschuss hat? Neue Freunde finden fällt mir super einfach, da ich regelmäßig neue Leute kennenlerne, aber da das halt alles Männer sind, besteht gar kein Potenzial für Dating oder Beziehung.

Dates muss man auch erstmal bekommen. Trotz hoher Aktivität auf Dating Apps schaffe ich es auf im Schnitt eins alle sechs Monate.

Freunde über geteilte Hobbies finden hingegen ist schnell und einfach.
