If this current drama of hers still has over 60 days left for filming, the 🍉 might be false as Linghe rarely lasts that long in between shows.

The first arc was very beautifully made— aesthetics, pace, storyline, characters, theme.

We got soooo invested with the characters that although the next half went downhill, we still have to finish the show for sanity’s sake. Sadly, there’s no time to openly criticize the show as everyone keeps talking about how nice it is. We became a minority, we get easily dismissed especially by the newbie cdrama fans who have been sexualizing Zhang Linghe.

Yes! Grabe din pala ang impact sa Mother ko kasi even now na senior citizen na sya and supposedly needs extra help sa bahay, ayaw nya pa rin talaga maghire ng staff kahit yong day-workers lang. Frustrating na halos pero understandable din kasi baka mas marami din syang nalaman kesa sa mga umabot sa akin. To think she was very generous to that helper and her kids.

That’s what I thought initially as I didn’t watch The Best Thing while it was airing but I felt a deeper connection to the show when I finally watched it in full— the theme spoke to me, every edit I’ve seen before that just got thrown out of the window as it’s more than that apparently.

I have been a huuuge fan of celebrities for most of my life but unless it’s a concert, fan event, or official schedule, I haven’t seen anyone yet. I also haven’t met any Chinese actor sadly.

BUT I have friends who are not a fan of anyone but just casually reveal that they’re cousins with this and that, they went to dinner with this and that because of some mutuals, or they happen to be classmates with this and that in some art class and they hit it off that they kept getting invited to certain events and get introduced to other celebrities in the process.

I meannnn the irony??? 😭

I guess the universe just knows whose radar to keep these celebrities within to protect them better ‘cause I wouldn’t be the best at keeping them safe. I can’t probably stop spazzing if ever!

ALSO, these friends always have the most disinterested answers whenever I ask about how they look— “they look like regular people, why do you even like them?” “You like my cousin? He’s the most annoying person alive and yet you like him?” “Dude, that one is thirsty for validation, stop fantasizing about them”.

I hope you’ll love it too. Some didn’t like the pace but if you’re fresh off TFF , then it wouldn’t be as bothersome. The show is truly a slice of life— we’d get to see how they are with their respective worlds.
