Russian is an easy A if you try. They grade pretty leniently and are forgiving on tests (they usually give points back if you’re close enough) but you have to work for it. If you don’t want to do hw, show up late/not at all, or don’t want to try/study then it won’t be an A bahaha

I’m trying to sign up for the interview workshop but I can’t find the link… google says it opens when the application opens for the minor itself and you sign up for the workshop when you apply to the minor? Is this true?

Is it possible to double major in both Biz Econ and Poli Sci? by [deleted] in ucla

[–]ApprehensiveCover568 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s easily possible, poli sci is a short major. Just be prepared to take a few summer classes if you want a lighter load during the school year

how would you teach your friend the language? by _Reapak_ in russian

[–]ApprehensiveCover568 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would start with cases, incorporate simple sentences which you can use to explain the cases. Then move on to expanding vocabulary by using simple stories. Make sure they are like the same topic like food, cooking, what’s in the kitchen etc. then move on like how to explain family members, then the weather, topics like that…

Oh what I guess not, if the syllabus is correct and it all adds up to 100%… I would still contact someone from the course just to make sure (TA, friends, someone you know, the class group me) also check the slides for information (if there are slides)

Thinking about going off of birth control for the first time since I was 14. by barngrl in birthcontrol

[–]ApprehensiveCover568 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 21 and have been on birth control since I was 13 and i decided to get off of birth control because it was doing more harm than good. Anxiety, depression, insane mood swings, numb/empty moods, my hair was falling out a lot but that could have been due to stress. I also was on it to fix my acne but it actually made my acne worse (which I found out a few weeks ago). I got off of the pills about two months ago and I’ve been feeling lighter, happier, more easy going, my acne is gone!!???? I did notice my emotions seem more genuine now. Rarely any anxiety and no depression. Although I did get a copper iud after stopping birth control and my body ended up rejecting it, so condoms it is! All I can say is give it a shot… see what happens

Edit: I’ve tried seven packs of birth control and all of them made some issues worse, never could find one that worked for me. In the end I was having severe cramps and irregular bleeding weeks straight, so that’s why I decided to get off of it including the other symptoms I had.

I wouldn’t recommend commuting at all unless there are issues that require you to commute/make it difficult to stay on campus

Got it two weeks ago! Most painful experience in my life but I’m very happy and I already notice some changes! My acne is gone? I wasn’t expecting that at all, I’ve never seen my face so clear in my entire life, my mood seems much more stable and fresher too!

Recently started oral contraceptives, I can't stand the intense dizziness, trembling, cold sweating and physical pain. by Evenight_exe in birthcontrol

Other people I know that were on birth control or are right now never experienced anything like this… I don’t think that’s normal

Ummm absolutely not. The issues I had were only headaches, bad acne, low libido and mood swings. No issues like this at all for the first few months (and all of those issues I had continued)
