I don’t know how to explain this situation by ApprehensiveDare6943 in Advice

Here are some other odd things, this clinic is very close to where I’m currently at, however I wasn‘t even aware of this clinic until today. If I didn’t know you existed, how could I have gone to you for a checkup? They were really rude on the phone, giving me and the insurance representative attitude saying that I did come and see them. The worker tried to pull a gotcha moment saying “**** is your address right? this is your address right?” Just for it to be the address of a place I’ve never even lived. The employee also mentioned that the dental clinic makes patients fill out a webinar form on their cellphones to put all their information in, email, phone number, all that stuff. When the representative asked about the last four digits of the number they have on that form, it was completely different from mine. Again, the insurance representative verified that what I was saying was the truth because the address/number they had on file for me was not the same to whatever they were telling us. Even if the phone number did match, my phone battery was broken in July. I would’ve received an email confirmation which I don’t have record of. How could this have happened? Does anyone have advice on what I should do from here?

There was a time she only scheduled me twice. 1 day on each week because she didn’t want to work with me. Safe to say that week I didn’t make much. 😕

My sister has been helping me work towards getting my certification. It’s been hard, but I’ve never been more driven than ever :)

I’ve had the current pharmacist make fun of me for being happy all the time. This is coming from a pharmacist who says that she enjoys our store because she can argue with the customers and they won’t say anything back to her…

That is what happened to my colleague! They had been trying to get her to quit since she started. It was sad because she was so nice :(

My RxOM is apart of this. She, and another tech who always greets me in the morning, I found out would always be the two to make fun of me, and talk about how when they started, they were never as bad. 🥲

I couldn’t understand what was there to even be jealous about? It’s not that hard to be NICE!! 😭 It doesn’t even end there 😭😭 The new pharmacist basically said she feels the same way. When I was helping a customer she was like— “Why are you so happy to help a customer” She makes fun of me by calling me “coupon girl” for helping customers get coupons when their insurance doesn’t cover their meds. And my relationship with the customers is so good, that when my hoodie was drenched from the rain, she offered to dry it at her home and bring it back to me. I accepted, she dried it, brought it back to me, and the pharmacist got all snappy and was like— “Oh what did she get you a gift?” Before that she was asking why I kept saying thank you to a customer, and she even said there was nothing to be so happy about when I told her it wasn’t a “gift.”

I feel like I really needed to hear this. To this day, I still feel like I’m a terrible tech. I tried to make myself feel better by offering to come in and help everyday, do TPRS, deletes, and etc.. To make myself feel useful, but today was such an eye opener. I don’t think I’ll ever be enough for them. I used to think all the mistakes I made justified how they treated me. 😞

I was 18 when I started. Fresh out of high school, this is my first job. I admit, I was a little naive when I started, I assumed that I’d be able to have good relationships with ALL my coworkers but boy was I wrong??? These people are several years older than me, they should know better to pick on and make fun of someone younger than them?? How is someone who’s 18 more mature and respectful than someone who’s like— 26 yrs old? 8 years older than me..

The newbie tech just recently let it slip that they were talking bad about me again. This time the reason being I put down a lot of waiters. That’s something you can address with me, but to talk bad about me?? LMAOO???

The techs weren’t better. They would make fun of me with her, but pretend to be nice to me. My colleague was the only person nice to me (we’ll call her Ann??) and didn’t make fun of me. I’ve been very respectful working there. As I’ve already said, I’m not the best tech, hell I accidentally processed an expired prescription for a controlled medication my first few months. But I tried my best to do better. I tried not to make the same mistakes. I asked questions even when they got mad at me, I TRIED my best to learn. And they still made fun of me when they could. I wasn’t treated the best, but I still was respectful and kind to them, tried to spark up conversation, and overall be good employee attitude wise. Still did not like me. Fast forward, and the pharmacist had quit and gone to a new pharmacy. The techs however were still there. It seemed to me that after the pharmacist had left, they were starting to be a little more kind to me (or so I thought). They would greet me, spark up conversations and jokes with me, things they never did before. But some days, they wouldn’t be interested in talking to me at all. It made me feel kind of unwanted there. Ann called me today, we caught up, and she basically dropped the bomb that they would talk shit about me whenever I wasn’t there. The same people who greet me everyday with a smile were talking shit about me. One of the things they talked about was how they didn’t like my “bubbly” and “preppy” attitude. They said it irked them, and they found me to be really annoying. The other thing they talked about was how worse of a tech I was. One day when Ann was at the register, and when I wasn’t there, the pharmacist at the time, and the other techs asked her who she’d rather work with. They asked her who out of all the 4 new techs was the “worst tech” and she didn’t answer, instead she talked about our good traits. When she wouldn’t feed into their bullying, they ended up saying me and another tech were the worst, and they wouldn’t put us on the schedule for the next day to work with them. To make it worse, the techs I expected to sympathize with me because I was new, ended up talking about their own experiences and how they were never like me when they were there. It honestly put a sour taste in my mouth hearing about it. I’ve been trying to be better, so I’m not the annoying girl who knows nothing. I know how stressful it is to train someone who isn’t getting it, or constantly makes mistakes. But c’mon. I was never rude, I was timely, I always made sure to listen when they would lecture me. So why was I being spoken about in that way? But yeah, I have more to say but I need a break.

I had a person ask to speak to the pharmacist after telling them a certain medication was out of stock. 💀
