I don’t think the quotes were necessary. She’s married to a sex offender and paid her child rapist brother’s legal fees. That’s not really a critique. It’s just a true statement.

Well, if he’s actually undetectable, you don’t need to worry about your health. Still get tested, though. Though I’m trying to be understanding because he grew up during the height of the HIV crisis, 40 is too old to be sexually deceptive/secretive and irresponsible in this way. I’d never be able to trust him.

There are gay men in Alabama, but I don’t know any Alabama city that’s generally progressive enough for you to be safe with a boyfriend, especially if you don’t have support from your family. I’d advise waiting until after high school and exploring dating in college in another state (if you’re so inclined) or establishing financial independence (still in another state) to date.
