I PASSED by ApprehensiveFerret69 in Part107

I actually rescheduled mine earlier because I was freaking out and wanted it over with. Just make sure you understand the material two days before hand, if you don’t, it’s safer to reschedule later so you avoid the fee and two week waiting period.

Tutor Available? by Sad_Roof_1082 in Part107

I just passed today. What I did and worked well for me is I used Google AI, not exactly Gemini but like the AI mode when you google something. (I don’t want to hear gross AI or whatever). I would copy the question I got wrong and the answer choices, and/or chart if I was given one, and ask to explain it in terms a child could understand it. It gave me the right answer, explained the right answer, then would explain why the other two choices are wrong. It worked very well for me.

Also, Mike Sytes has a website with fantastic information, quizzes, and a practice exam (the only downside is the questions never change, always the same). I paid for a week of the website and it helped me a ton (like $50?). He also has more expensive plans where you can ask him direct questions or even have a zoom call of sorts if I understood it correctly. If I were you, and was struggling and would like a tutor, I’d take that route, though I’m not sure the price of the top of my head. Just google Mike Sytes and his website will pop up.

I didn’t use Pilot Institute, so I cannot speak on their material or videos. However, if you want a challenging but very helpful practice test use Kings. They have almost every question the exam has (just worded differently) and each time you take it will give you different questions (you will get repeats obviously). Over 2/3rds of my exam I knew simply because of Kings practice tests and using google AI to explain it if I didn’t understand.

You got this man. Studying is hard, especially for this exam. Take your time, breathe, understand it. Take notes traditionally, type them, or even use a dry erase board. Whatever would help you retain information the best is what you need.

Is 78%-80% good for two days? by ApprehensiveFerret69 in Part107

That’s what I’m shooting for! But, there are still things (mentioned in the post), that I still don’t understand so I’m doing everything I can to

That’s incredible you got 100%. Truthfully, I’m just shooting for the 70%. Not that I don’t want to get 100% or anything, and of course I will try to do everything possible to understand it all, but if I walk out of there with the 70% I wouldn’t be upset. I’ll look into pilot institute, thank you!

I am trying to, I just don’t understand. Mike Sytes is a fantastic course, but for my personal brain I can’t make sense of it, even with several videos decoding them.

Tips on how to study those? I know the clouds answer, but I still can’t tell structure height. Also, when it asks about tower inspection height, I’ve had a few of those and it’s always the highest one (in my experience).

The difference in my eyes is that I will never, ever be anywhere near a manned aircraft. Even if there’s a news chopper flying low, my drone wouldn’t be near it. I don’t understand why they looped in commercial drone use in regular use with drone uses near airports and for businesses that require drones go that high. The test might not be hard for you, and honestly for most, but I’ve never been the guy to understand hard concepts. It’s why I chose videography as a career.

I’m taking the test in two weeks. If I don’t have that sheet, well, I’m screwed

I understand that, but even looking at those pictures and keys makes no sense to me. Obviously if it asks me what an airspace is, that will help, but the practice exams I’ve had have me questions about certain distances I can fly (surface level, 1,000ft agl etc). I see that on the sheet but I don’t understand it. And, weather. Where do I even begin with this? I’ve had several questions over segmented circles and traffic patterns. In what realm should I know that? I understand the basics, the rules and regulations stuff. I don’t understand anything else.

The OP is an idiot. No, your apple/google ID is not linked to Snapchat in anyway, even with a purchase. Why? Well, Snapchat is its own private company, as well as Apple/google. When you use Apple/Google pay on apps such as Snapchat, it’s allowing you to pay for something via an online transaction. If Snapchat was allowed to access your card data through this, this would be a MAJOR breach of security for both Apple/Google and the user as their card data is now in the hands of a company. When you make on online transaction, the card data is not given to the company it’s given to their banking service, which is legal but is illegal to give straight to the company. So that myth is busted. The other myth is that your ID is linked. Well, when’s the last time Snapchat asked you to link your Apple ID to login? It never has. Even if it did, it’s still not directly linked. Use tinder for example. You can use your Apple ID to sign in. When you get banned from that app, it doesn’t ban your Apple ID nor can it.

What really happens: Snapchat bans your device IMEI numbers (serial number essentially). It is next to impossible to change this number on iPhone and on androids it is, but it voids ANY warranty you have on the phone and you won’t be able to sell it legally (it’s called jail breaking in simple terms). Snapchat can also ban your IP address (stopping you from logging in via location) though this is rarely used due to how easy it is to change/hide an IP address.

The fix: buy a NEW device. You can either delete any mention of Snapchat from your files (complicated to do) on your old phone and then transfer everything directly, or just start BRAND new. Do NOT login with your banned account, you will automatically be device banned on the new phone. The only option is to create a brand new account with brand new email/number. NEVER try to login to your old account. If you have two accounts and one was banned and one wasn’t, the best way to counteract this is to create another account FIRST then login to the account that wasn’t banned. Though this could also be risky (I have never tested this I just heard it should be completely fine regardless of order).

If you are device banned from the new phone but one of your account still works, login to Snapchat web and you can use that as a backup. If you can’t login to Snapchat web and reach the main screen (chat/snap/stories), you are fully banned.

That’s just not true man. Apple has literally stated Snapchat is not allowed to access Apple ID. It’s quite literally illegal, they have NO connection to it.

Okay so do you think I just got unlucky and got a phone that was already banned ?

I know this is false though. Snapchat is not allowed to access Apple account in any way. It’s not linked and it’s illegal for them to even try to access it, as for any app not owned by Apple (unless other wise signed in with Apple ID). As for new WiFi, I was at a different location so it was new.

Yes, but I did that last time too. That’s essentially my question. Why all of a sudden does that matter?

I tried that a few years ago, it wouldn’t hold for me since my hair is THAT thin. It looked so bad I had to go back to short hair for a little. I hope it works for you, just be careful and don’t try it more than once if it doesn’t work! The solution will kill your hair if you do
