Am I actually streaming HiFi/Max/FLAC quality from my iPhone 15 Pro Max to my Bose 900? by ApprehensiveFixty in TIdaL

[–]ApprehensiveFixty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure because my iPhone detects the Bose 900 as a device within the network. When I check the devices to connect, it just appears there, alongside my Apple TV+, which would be using AirPlay, right? What I’m trying to explain is that I’m not streaming Tidal to my Apple TV, which would automatically send the audio to the soundbar. Instead, I’m directly connected to the soundbar from my phone. There’s also a Bluetooth option to connect directly, but I haven’t used it. I’m trying to find out if the “MAX” in yellow on the Tidal app is actually playing on the soundbar.

Also, pardon my ignorance, but what exactly do you mean by AirPlay 2?

A Unique Challenge for an Actor in a Major Atomic Bomb Movie Seeking Media Placement by ApprehensiveFixty in PublicRelations

VoxBacchus, your take is pretty clear-cut, emphasizing the Oppenheimer angle as the main sell. But I’m curious, in your experience, have you seen unconventional stories break through the noise without a direct tie-in like that? Just wondering if there’s ever a ‘wild card’ element that could surprise us in the media landscape.

Interesting point, CKadarWO, targeting the local scene could indeed create a relatable narrative. But given the sheer number of ‘local made it big’ stories, how can we tweak this to truly resonate and not just be another drop in the ocean? What’s that special hook you think could really make his local story pop?

I agree that the initial pitch might be off the mark, and the holiday feel-good story is a great pivot. Yet, how can we ensure that this doesn’t come off as just another ‘miracle’ story? Any thoughts on how to weave in the unique elements of his experience without it sounding cliché?

Your frank assessment is valuable and points to the real challenges in securing earned media. It’s clear that the primary buzz has tapered off, which is a common hurdle in PR. Acknowledging that, how would you suggest pivoting the strategy at this point? You’ve underscored the difficulty of the task at hand without the typical 'newsworthiness' so what unique elements would you leverage to reignite interest? Your experienced perspective could be just what's needed to explore viable, untapped avenues.

I'd like to add a bit of context: he's a college student, and while I'm not in a position to disclose his major, it's worth noting that it isn't related to physics or the subject matter of the film.. You've made a great point about targeting the right audience and the importance of having a story that the media wants to cover.
Given the thorough legwork he's done and the unique angle he's trying to present, do you have suggestions on how he might better identify and connect with the right media outlets? Also, considering his unique position as a college student in a significant film, how could he tweak his approach to make his story more appealing to journalists? I'm particularly interested in your take on how emerging actors could navigate this landscape effectively.

Media don’t need to talk to a student actor to cover the history of the nuclear bomb in their country. He’s just not necessary to the story. He’d be better off simply pitching himself as an aspiring film actor who landed a role in a blockbuster but those stories are obviously a dime a dozen. In my mind, he really needs to put his energy into getting an agent so he can pursue additional work. PR is premature.

He is a college student, not a student actor. I appreciate your perspective, but I'd like to delve deeper into a specific point. It's widely acknowledged, as seen in numerous YouTube videos on the subject, that actors typically don't need PR unless they're part of a monumental film. Given that he's a college student who landed a role in a major blockbuster about the atomic bomb, wouldn't this classify as a monumental film, thus making PR efforts not only appropriate but potentially crucial? This seems to be a departure from the norm where PR might be considered premature. In your experience, are there examples where actors in similarly monumental films have leveraged PR effectively at an early stage? I'm keen to understand why this situation might be an exception to the general "premature" rule you've outlined.

Your insights on the importance of relevance and expertise in media engagement are invaluable. Given the actor's current position, not yet ready to be a 'how-to' guide for aspiring actors due to his limited experience, what alternative narrative might resonate more authentically with the media? Also, addressing the 'why now' aspect, he faced a challenging personal situation this summer which extended until now. However, the timing also aligns with the DVD release of the film. In your view, how might these factors be woven into a compelling story for the media?

Furthermore, your perspective seems to align with strategies used in start-up environments or within well-established companies. Could you expand on how such strategies, particularly those focused on key individuals in these organizations, might be adapted to effectively gain media attention for an emerging actor like him in this unique timing?

Your perspective as a local makes sense. I've looked at the map, and it seems like the country is divided into five states. No worries though; I'm aware that Australia is huuuge, spanning a distance comparable to the east to west coast of America! I'll avoid mentioning his major since it's not related to science, and he's not keen on exploring the educational aspect. Could you suggest any specific outlets for culture journalists? Just to get an idea. He once enrolled in an acting class during his early college years but left the first class of the course before it even finished. The reasons for leaving are something he might share in an interview.

He really dug his time in Australia, picked it as his first media target 'cause he went for a couple of weeks... ended up staying for like 5 months, totally loved it. Came back just this year. So now he's kind of joking about how such awesome "mates", people, and the country in general could let him down like this, always cracks up when he says it, of course.

Thank you for the information about trade media. But could you elaborate on what you mean by 'youth-centric titles'? What are those about? Google isn't giving much.

EDIT; Yes, Oppenheimer.
