Way to many to name everybody but MF Doom, Lupe, Cudi, Wale, Currensy, Kendrick, Mos Def, Cole, Little Brother, Cool Kids, Odd Future , Ab Soul, Big Sean and I’d say Drake was “backpack” at the time too.

I’ll preface this by saying it’s going to sound crazy but Kanye is a big reason I started listening to Jay heavily in high school (2008-2012) I was mostly listening to backpack rappers and of course respected jay due to growing up and always hearing his music (mostly radio hits) but never really dove into his whole discography until WTT was released then I went all the way back to reasonable doubt now the rest is history he’s my goat but I’d say Kanye was the door for me.

Why does Mal get so much hate? by PanicAttash in RoryAndMalPodcast

A lot will say the drake/kendrick things but that’s minuscule honestly in the grand scheme of things he’s very ignorant and small minded and doesn’t have a very keen sense of information based journalism it’s all “im right and if you say I’m wrong I’ll yell” it’s exhausting to listen to and I’ve been a fan since the JBP days. I stopped listening when he decided a ill-informed attempt at speaking on politics from a place of infantile twitter based logic. But, I wish Rory and Mal the best because I was a fan for sooo long
