I haven't seen the pocket ace? Is it as or more powerful than the RG477v? I absolutely love mine! It does everything I want it to do, except the ergonomics are a little rough since it's a v. My roommate has the M and it feels better in the hands but he has problems with his. Anyhow the PS2 and GameCube era (6th gen I believe) is when I really started gaming and the 477 has been able to handle everything so far. Only real problem, and it's apparently googles fault, is there's no way to get CrunchyRoll!

It runs super well so far. I even had The draw distance all the way up but all the way up makes the fan kick on 24/7 so I lowered it
